My 05 Has Problems

I wanted information...that's why i posted to begin with. I didn't post anything i thought was controversal or deceptive. i also didn't think i would be barraged with BS saying I was making this up. Why? What purpose would that serve? I am looking at the warranty repair order and I quoted my VIN # correctly I also gave the correct part numbers for the gaskets put on my scoot and they are clearly described as GASKET, CYL HEAD. I have had it repaired at the dealership. I have made up my mind I will be taking it elsewhere for work after the battery ordeal! I know nobody that owns a Busa. That is why i asked what I did where i did. I have been a member of other boards and foolishly expected intelligent, inquisitive or insightful replies uch as ," Same thing happened to me, I had to contact ... and finally got it resolved OR I've owned three with no probs or there was a recall on this or that part that could be the culpret. WOW was I wrong. I see no reason to have this continue any further. I thank the few people that tried to reply in a helpful manner. I have seen all I need to from this "Community" WEBMASTER...please delete my membership, it was worth everything i paid for it.

And all 3 of your posts were everything we read into it.

All joking aside your getting a hard time because you not only have 3 problems on a brand new Busa which is far from normal but they are also very bizzare. If you are a member of another board then you should be familiar with how a troll posting looks. This is when someone joins a board as an individual under a single or multiple screen names and just screws with everyone.

If your legit I guess you could call this a hazing and we all apologize and welcome you to the board.

I think if you posted the warranty repair order that would clear things up although I don't remember anyone asking me to post a copy of my title to prove I owned a Busa. Then again I didn't have a first post like yours.

Yeah I thought everyone kinda spun this one out of control. Sorry you didn't get the answers you were looking for but I would definately get her all fixed up under the warranty, your problem is the first I have heard and a real bummer.

Look this is my take.
There is always someone who thinks the bike is a POS and wants to vent. but Facts are Facts.
1. You will NOT get an oil leak from a headgasket.
(I have seen V/C gaskets leak all the time even new that is what a warranty is for)
Point being is you are reading a paper and not talking to someone or not being explained what happen thus you presented the board will false info that can not happen and you will be called out for that on any board PERIOD.

2. the stripped bolt was a mechanics fault not a Suzuki problem.
again nothing to do with the bike just you not asking questions of the shop.

3. Battery problem, again even you said mechanic error.
and then you post you put it in the freezer?
rock.gif
?
rock.gif
?? I now know why you are having problems.
Is this the first bike you owned?
hot battery with acid and you go put it is a freezer with food?

Facts are Facts your title of post is my 05 has these problem which they don't! your shop does.
the point on the service manual is if your Suzuki does know why in the hell did you even buy it from them???

Call US Suzuki in Brea Ca. and tell them about the Suzuki Dealership that does know where to get a service Manual.
I know for a fact that the dealership will get a Visit.

So the bottom line is this......
you had a Valvecover leak that was under warranty and the rest was due to the lame mechanic.
Due to there are several people that are from Central Fl.
Why don't you post the name of this fine Suzuki shop so no one else will have your problem.
Just remember Facts are what everyone want. There is already too much B.S. on the internet.
So only post facts

MoosesBusa-If you wanted a great website for the Busa, this is it! People here take there bikes very serious, and like detail so they are sure what they are helping people with and that they are legit Busa owners. Such as VIN numbers, part numbers, year, etc. If they see something that doesn't make sense you may get questioned or doubted. As far as I have seen on the site, Johnnycheese is the man on anything mechanical on the busa, so I would take his word seriously. Welcome to the board and hang around. You will learn alot about your bike around here. Congrats on the 05'. Blue and silver is the fastest color!

I have attached two pics. One of the warranty work receipt and one of the scoot itself. I can see the point about troll posting although this is the first I have heard of it. The boards I frequent ( er uhh USED TO Frequent
wow.gif
) were Satellite programming boards and I never saw any posts that were referred to as Troll posts.
I wanted to clear up why i put the battery in the freezer. When i removed it from the bike it was so Friggin Hot I could barely hold it and I wanted to get it cooled down before it exploded. In hindsight I realize there was a possibility of ruining some perfectly good venison but I guess between the risk of exploding battery acid on my body vs. Spoiled meat in the freezer, Bambi will lose every time! A "mechanic" at the dealership informed me the LAST bike this happened to burnt to the ground. This happened BEFORE and they STILL hooked mine up wrong!?!
I have owned a few other motorcycles before this one. My first was a KAW 700 LTD ( forget the year but it was a 750CC shaft drive) my second was a ZX900A-1 ( '86) Neither of these bikes gave me any problems other than an occasional dead battery or worn out brakes. Guess I got lucky!! My third was and still is a '00 Harley Davidson Softail Can post pics of that too if anyone is interested. And now this impulse buy of an 05 Busa. I have never had motor problems an any of my other bikes so I am embarrasingly unfamiliar with how they actually function. I just kniw when this bike isn't in the shop it's a kick in the pants to ride. I will take a pic later today of the upgrades made to it so far. It now has dual Yoshi SS Pipes, Corbin seat, Double Bubble, and Heli bars. All of which I pesonally installed. I know that is no major task But i also know that they won't fall off from improper installation! I would like to hang around the baord and learn if that's OK with the powers that be.

Welcome to the board Moose.

Sorry some of our boyz get all cranked up when they think we are being scammed. These kind of probs are not " normal " with the rest of us so I would agree with Jim, if major probs continue then insist on it being replaced.

Wow, thank goodness that is all cleared up.
When I was under the assumption that was a fake post it perplexed the hell out of me as to why someone would post that!!

So, now that you seem to be 4real welcome to the board, and damn....sorry bout the problems. My advise...report that thing stolen, light it on fire, and ghostride it through the front window of the dealership. Then when the insurance company gives you money to buy a new bike....buy a busa at a different dealership!!!

#cruncherbusa-05s have been out on the floor in florida for at least 3 or 4 weeks -maybe more---------

Welcome to the board. Nice bike! Glad everything got taken care of.

Moose - Nice pics, but, whatever else you do, please don't post a picture of your happy white ass...

Thanks;

Steve

Take some time and learn some things about your motorcycle so this doesn't happen again. Plus you will feel better with atleast a basic knowledge of how things work so you won't have to pay dealerships with halfas$ed mech any of your money unless you just really really want to. If you deal with Satellite programming then you should understand the quality of properly representing the problems if you want the proper results. If you describe the wrong thing then you look like a fool and won't get any answers that will help you out.

That being said, welcome, read, use the search button, learn, and enjoy!

Welcome aboard and make sure they replace the battery under warranty as well. The battery cells/plates are almost certain to be damaged from the short circuit if it got that hot. And yeah, freezer not a good idea! Sorry for the rough handling and again welcome!
smile.gif

Oh yeah and Corbin seats kick ass and make a huge difference in riding comfort, even before they break in! The new windscreen is also a definite must!

Hey Moose, you bought your bike at the same place I got mine. I have found them to be very reasonable there.
