My bike

Dealing with no headlight problem. Everything was working, bulb popped out and bounced around. Now no high beams or low beam. Nothing. All fuses good. I'm almost ready to run it to a damn switch.

Anything that can get loose will get loose. What drives me nuts is after working hard to get it extra air tight a tiny air leak pops in the middle of a trip!

They have a relay too.
Do you have the service manual with the wiring diagram?
...a switch would be good though, for All the lights...know what I mean, I know how you ride.

It’ll probably be the easiest way to fix it. Besides all the nonsense of little issues the bike itself runs amazing. I have two electric issues. My headlights and fans. Nothing major but annoying. I’ll fix them over the winter.

Well that sure sucks, but at least you know it'll be fixed right when it's done.
You're fortunate to be close to one of the best.

Well she is down for the count. Pulling the motor. Bent the shift rod and lost the clutch riding home yesterday. Going to bring it to Frank and get it all fixed. Always something. But I worried the transmission would be my downfall as the transmission was never built right and was the only weak point on the bike. Is what it is.

Right now I’m just about used to setting 3 which is what I guess close to 300hp. I’ll probably go up to around 360hp next week or so. I’m sure that’ll take some time to get adjusted to. But I’ll still have 400 on the final setting if I choose. Don’t know how often I’ll ride around on 400 but who knows. Right now I’m still getting used to the bike. I haven’t been able to put on a ton of miles yet. The miles I have put on however have brought lots of smiles. The boost is intoxicating. It also rides really well. The bike is smooth and feels like a regular Busa outside of the boost. It purrs right along.

I'm running ~14-15 psi on E85 (boost by gear / ethanol %) which is ~340hp, and every time I'm barely able to hold wide open throttle even in 4th. The other night when the air was a bit cooler it tried to wheelie on me in 5th gear. Absolutely unhinged. I can't get a good 60-130 time, but my 100-150 is getting respectable -- best I've gotten is in the high 2.8-2.9s, just hanging on. Everyone says to lower it / stretch it, but honestly I'm not sure if it's in anyone's best interest for me to make it faster. I can get *sort of* used to the power, but holding it wide open is another story.

Only vehicle I've ridden in (not driven) that even comes close is a 1600+whp twin turbo R8, but the difference on a bike is I really have to ride the poop out of it, not just point and go.

Love hearing others' experience with these insane machines!

If you mean one of the specialty nuts, yes, you need socket to torque them correctly, but you can use a brass punch and a hammer to knock them loose, and they should spin off easily.
The soft brass will not damage the hardened steel nut, and it will save you the time waiting on the specialty socket.
I've been there a few times, as there are so many different sockets on different bikes.

I have to see myself. I know they had to do a ton of repairs and welding to the gears. I’ll get a full rundown from Frank when I get there. His paperwork is always top notch.

Had him put in a new Speedo sensor, and high volume oil pump gear but nothing crazy.
