My Busa Overhaul

Saving money isn't always saving money

Perhaps it is more accurate to say ....

Spending less money for an identical service or part !! Provided the two services offer identical quality workmanship then you are simply not spending as much money...period!

Always pays to shop around ...

Here's the swingarm right now, just putting in this thread as well so I can keep the documenting going

Thanks. I think I'm gonna fabricate a way to make it work. Shouldn't be too hard, its just a damn joist to hold it in place

2 things:

1. Is there a list on here of the sponsers? I'd rather buy from them then others simply because they support the best Busa sight.

2. Anyone got $90 I can borrow so I can pick up my swingarm?

BTW, this is a preliminary, VERY LOOSE, interpretation of my paint scheme that will be in the black portion of the bike. I can't really explain it too much but I would love to hear your opinions! Especially you Monoxide!

Question 1. Go to the home page and up the top right hand side click the TAB called "Sponsors"...this will bring up about 12 or so of the sponsors!

Question 2. I'd lend you 90 but you may have to wait 5 days for it to show up in your paypal account ....:banghead:

Just read this whole thing, I want a prize!

Kinda mad I didnt start following this thread sooner, great pics!

Just gonna ghost that into the black? If its too bold I think it'll be to repetitive, but ghosted, winning!

Yes, it will be ghosted into the Toyota Black. It should look pretty good because it won't be too overly noticable. I want it to be there and seeable but not so much that its overbearing to the rest of the bike.

5 days is better than nothing Ozzybusa! :beerchug:

you may want to check that under bracing before mounting arm on bike and just sliding rear wheel forward.. The angle if not done right (forward enough) with tire all the way forward may rub the tire and you not get full usage of a new chain. The brake bar isn't gonna work cause they didn't angle it down and far enough forward...It's so close in relation to the arm it's likely for aesthetics at this point anyways.. There is a reason swingarm shops charge what they charge,it's not welding time it's knowledge and complete fabrication to serve a purpose. You will be surprised at some of the stuff, i have seen.Good Luck with your build..

Most of the stuff is foreign to me. I am not a mechanic. You have a huge project going. I do dig the paint scheme for sure! Good luck with the rest of the build.
