My experience with buying Carrozzeria Rim's and a on site vender.

Tim, I've dealt with Tobefast before, and they are good people. That said, I would CANCEL that order! Instead of getting the new wheels that you ordered and paid for, you are getting refurbs in the wrong color. And at the price of a perfect and new set, no less.

That is unacceptable.

Riddle me this... If they are sanding out the damage to the rim, but not replacing material, that must mean that the rim will no longer be perfectly round. That is, unless they are sanding all the way around the rim, in which case the rim will come back slightly smaller than spec. Is that about right?

There is no flipping way I would take them!

Honestly, as much as I like Tobefast and appreciate that they are trying to take care of you, you should be on the phone with your credit card company to dispute the charge.

Remove yourself from the situation and let it be settled between Tobefast and CZ who can afford the screw-up whichever way it goes.

It sucks all the way around, but it is not your place to take the brunt of it.

Good luck, buddy.

I 100% agree with you! I just called Nick, and CZ hasnt responded to him yet. I told Nick it better be one hell discount or my sale is final! Yes I have been patient with this matter. I figured I would share this experience here with the Org. CZ could of fixed this really quick by getting another set of rims ready from the CNC machine, sent to the anodizer, and then shipped out a new set to me. They didnt choose this method!

I'm glad I bought mine first and they were in proper shape, after reading this, I wouldn't have bought them. Bad CZ, Bad!

That's exactly how I feel about it.

Somebody needs to go out to their office with a rolled up newspaper and get them back on the path of righteousness.

My next set of aftermarket wheels will not be from CZ. I'm sure there are a lot of people reading this thread who feel the same way.

And I am hoping this is the end......:banghead:! Nick had asked me to wait before I did anything, to see if he and Carrozzeria could make this wheel purchase any easier. Meaning a reduction in price for the now refurbished rims. I gave him few days and this was the best he could do for me:

Tim:
Here is that tracking number for the wheels, but I don't think that CZ is going to budge compensation. In this situation, we still want to try to make up for it a bit on our part. The floor manager said that I could give you a $100 credit on your account to be used on anything in the store, and at least that might make up a little bit of the disparity. Either way, I'll call you in the morning when I get in.

Thanks!
Nick Bevins

I had called him around 2:30pm to see what was going on. I hadnt heard anything or seen an email. I explained to him that I am over all of this and CZ better make it worth my wild to want to continue with this purchase or I am done with the purchase. Then later, I get home and get an email from CZ, my rims are on the way. OK???? Then an hour later I get the above email from Nick. Well the above explains my next set of action.....

Nick:

First I want to say thank you! To you, and to McCoy Motorsports for trying to help make this Rim sale work. You and your company are stuck in the middle of this sale, and the $100 in-store credit was a very nice gesture. It is unfortunate that Carrozzeria sent me a set of rims in the wrong color, with damage, and then decided to refurbished these same rims at the same price of a new set of rims. Because of their actions, I decided it was time to dispute the charges with my credit card company. This is not directed towards you or TobeFast.com, but in response to Carrozzeria. If this is how Carrozzeria is going to do business, then I dont want there product. The poor customer service that I have received from them from the beginning, has me even more worried now. What if I encounter another problem with these same refurbished rims? To continue this same process of me calling you, and then you calling Carrozzeria, and then waiting on Carrozzerria for a response. No thank you. I told you by email and by phone (6/25/12), that if we couldnt come up with an acceptable out come that I wanted to cancel my order and refund the amount back to my credit card.

Thanks for trying Nick!

Tim Devlin

Shame on CZ!! Ill deff reccomend light weight wheels to others, such as Marvics or OZ's. I like mine, but hate knowing a friend got hosed by a company I recommended. I your not mad at me Tim, but i still got a lil frown on over this whole thing.

As far as your actions, im 100% behind ya, like I said before, CZ's response should have been "we're sorry, here's and paid return label, once we get your damaged PURPLE rims, the new ones which are currently being made will be sent out"

No worries RRR! Win some, loose some! I honestly tried to give Carrozzeria a chance, but they did what they did. Nick did what he could, and my patience was finally all used up.

That totally sucks. I was really liking those rims but I think I'll pass! Even if they sent me a perfect pair in record time I would still be pissed at them for the treatment you got. I would go join every forum I can find and post your story:devil:

I agree, the word needs to be put out there about the spotless customer service provided by CZ. You have too much patience my friend, if it were me I would've ripped thru ppl for trying to stiff me. Hopefully your cc company can get your money refunded in a timely manner. :banghead::banghead:

Cz YOU SUCK!
I'm posting this thread on SoFlaSportbikes.com

As we all should post it on other forums we are members of.
Should have been riding a new set weeks ago bragging about how they treated you, not this.
I think my McDonalds analogy last night on phone was accurate.

Go order a burger without cheese. When they give you one with it and you complain what do they do?
Open bun and peel cheese off fixing that one and give it back? Nope, right in the garbage and here's a new perfect one the way you ordered it and we are sorry. A $1 burger and they care more about customer satisfaction than a company selling you $2,000 wheels!
Pathetic!

Oh and did I mention Cz SUCKS?

ALL OF THIS could have been avoided if they would've just sent me those rims and made you a new set.. :banghead:

Wow I really liked those rims, however after reading this the past few days I will not be doing Buisness with them either!!

Like all of you have stated, its a nice looking rim! Thats is one of the reasons why I ordered them. Seen a few sets in person, even both Ti-Greys on flicka's old busa and Bryan's busa. Hey I know mistakes can happen, we all have dropped the ball at one time or another. It is how you go about correcting it! I just wasnt happy with correction of my situation. Yes it was upsetting, but I tried to remain positive and patient. I didnt want to be that customer! Screaming and yelling.... It doesnt solve anything. In fact it makes others want to help you less. Not the results I wanted. Either way, I felt I gave everyone enough time to sort this out, and a chance to put a few choices or options on the table.

So, at this point you will be disputing the charges and returning the rims that are on their way? If so, I definately think at this point it is the right thing to do. It's just common sense that you don't pay full price for anything that was wrong and damaged and then fixed. You pay full price for a BRAND NEW SHINY product.

Dispute was made last night after the email. The credit card company said this shouldnt be a problem. After explaining it all, she was even like OMG you have been patient!

I guess at the very least, we should all send a note to the sales guys at CARROZZERIA USA INC indicating that their net profits for the coming year will be down by at least several thousand dollars because of their poor sportsmanship in this example. Here's the address: sales@forged-wheel.com

It's only fair that they should know
