My review after 950 miles on my first busa

low side you chase the bike, high side the bike chases you...... I take it you've done neither yet lol.

ha...ha...ha

No..... because although you may think I drive irresponsibly I don't. Aside from motocross I have a lot of experience with street bikes prior to owning the busa, and I have never wrecked once.

I know exactly what it is, I high sided one time when I did motocross. Yes the back end came out a few times so far while driving this bike. However it happened only when I put it in too low of a gear while still in high speeds (decelerating to a stop) The moment it happens I pull in the clutch and viola, no more rear end getting loose.

Maybe this was posted already . There are two types of riders, those that have been down and those that will. Not saying you are going to crash but That car doesn't know you added 50HP more and you're coming faster than shoot, pulls out and wow that looks bad. I'm all for you having what you want in life but keep it on the track and keep a level head. Besides at 6'9" and 230lbs. you only have skin over your bones no meat:whistle: Good luck with the purchase and keep the rubber side down:beerchug:

I see it this way, we all are adults and can make our own decisions. I say do what you need to make your bike faster and enjoy. I caught a lot of flack for egging on wheelies because I think they are cool. I bought my Busa to have fun and that's what I intend to do my good Busa brothers....

You high sided "one time". this confirms it, you're not pushing very hard lol.

That wheelie pic is amazingly sick. poor fork seals, lol

Thanks for posting that, that is case in point you have no idea what you are doing. When the back end gets squirrelly you have 2 options, apply more power and ride it out or apply steady power until it stops.

Pulling in the clutch will cause all that inertia to whip you over the side of the bike and straight on your face when the fast spinning tire stops and grabs the pavement.

Good luck with your elite riding skills brother ???

You are exactly right.:beerchug:

Us dirt bikers have a saying.... 'When in doubt, throttle it out."

The back end got squirrely on a straight away, so there was nothing wrong with engaging the clutch.... it's engaging the clutch around corners which causes a bike to high side.

Thank you, I will will enjoy my superior AMA worthy rider skills-------insert sarcasm here

That is very true haha

I HAVE gone WOT in first gear. However I HAVE to let off around 6k rpm otherwise it will go skyward if I stay in throttle!! If you have a solution to this problem please let me know... and NO I do not want an extended swing arm

Yeah, after reading this thread I went for a putt this past Saturday afternoon on some of the less traveled roads west of me. Hit a little rise at the top of 4th and up comes the front tire to at least 10 o'clock. Tap the shift button into 5th and it sets down nice and easy around 150. So I'm thinking "yeah, I need a turbo". NOT! Just can't see it on the street!

if u really where at 10o'clock, doesnt that mean u went to far.

If you turbo your bike then, instead of having 1 gear that you can not use full power in ,you will end up with many gears like that, seeing that you dont like swingarm extensions...

my bike must be week...maybe the brocks and pc are robbing me. I hammer mine allot and in first at 6k it never comes up.....or are you dumping the clutch at 6k...

hmmm...mine comes up when i coax it to but pinning the throttle through 6k it may hover slightly but doesnt go skyward.

This bike is just oming to life at 6K.

You still haven't bumped the Rev limiter in any of the gears have you.
