I got to meet Tyrone Prothro (Alabama Crimson Tide receiver), who was considered one of the top collegiate athletes until he broke his leg in a game vs Florida (AL won) in 2005.

This is weird. Tyrone's cousin is Demone Bates(my best friend) who broke his neck at TN Wesleyan and another cousin is Todd Bates who plays for the TN Titans. Todd actually broke his wrist playing. Very athletic family but plagued by injury. Demone could have probably went pro also but a popped neck I think takes you out.
