272MPH???  Wow, we boys at Maxton must not have a clue as to what REAL speed is.
Ghost Rider, back away from the bike and nobody gets hurt, take a deep cleansing breath, thats it, now let it out.  Are we back to reality yet?

The fastest Faired Busa (a turbo) at Maxton on the 1 mile concrete is 250.006MPH posted by Lee Shierts with the #8 Budweiser Turbo Busa built by Rich Yancy.

But thanks for the laughs anyway.

Guy

Well...There is a post on the Ghostrider.net web-board... But it just seems to me that something isn't quite right. Unless he's talking 272KPH...

Anyhoo, Ghostrider, if you are THE Ghostrider, welcome to the board of course. If your not who you say you are, then I would recommend coming clean, or just not coming around anymore. Anyone is welcome on the board though, and International members are allways treated well.

I realy think its funny when some people in USA dont understand that something can be done OUTSIDE the USA!!!

The owner, Patrik Fürstenhoff, of the Hayabusa turbo I talk about has done the speed 272mph on two wheel with the fairing on and lowered chassi, and if you dont believe that, thats fine!!!

"We boys at Maxton must not have a clue as to REAL speed is"

That comment just prove that some people, NOT all, like you Guy dont understand that there is a world outside USA!!!

But Guy..........at least you give me and my friends a great smile when we think about you and what you "know"...
laugh.gif
(sorry!!!)

A question Guy: will you still have the same BAD attitude against other people when the owner of the Hayabusa turbo set the new world speed wheelie record at 220mph+ something!!??

Best regards,
Ghost Rider...

Ps! McXpress in Sweden is now testing the new Hayabusa turbo they a making. Goal 800bhp!!! So far 685bhp!!! Ds!

Heya GR, keep rockin those speeds, was good to see you earlier this year in Birmingham UK. Hows the new dvd goin. Hope uve painted the Busa black
tounge.gif
. When you gunna get the pre-orders up for GR3? I remember you tellin me about the 272mph. U got any graphs to back it up just to shut these guys up? Anyway ciao for now.

"Ghost Times" by the Ghost Rider. It takes 500 HP to go 250 on a Busa with stock bodywork. Since power has to increase exponentially for speed, that 800 will be about right for 272MPH. I expect it was done with a radar gun which can be "adjusted" very easily. (Incidentally the Bonneville results sheet from last year lists a time of 397 MPH for my open wheel Busa special. It was clocked at 250 in the first mile and then lightning struck shorting the clocks. What would the time have been with two more miles to accelerate?) LSL

Don't think you have been missing much... Apparantly those of us here that are Americans are simply to Geographically Isolated and Ethnocentric to have heard about a documented 272MPH Busa. REGARDLESS of the fact that I read the British mags religiously and none of our overseas folks ever mentioned this... ODD, I would imagine this would have come up on a BUSA board...

Mostly this sounds like some more of the "Evil" USA rhetoric, Yeah Yeah, whatever, we've heard it all before, and how it relates to bikes and this board or it's members I dunno...

I realy think its funny when some people in USA dont understand that something can be done OUTSIDE the USA!!![/QUOTE]

No offense dude, but enough already. Just show us some proof, or shut your pie hole.

I Love God, country, family and my Busa, in that order. So if you have proof of the 272 mph then show us. If not, don't knock our country or our racers. We'd be the first to give you a pat on the back if you really did hit that speed, regardless of your country.

I truly do look forward to your proof, but be cool about the guys on the sight. Not everyone in the USA has a 'Bad Attitude', we just get that way when provoked. And for the love of God, don't let RSD hear you rip on us.

What he said!

Ghost Rider,

How/what are you guys recording these speeds with? Radar, GPS, what?
rock.gif

Most importantly what road/airstrip are you making these runs on? I don't know of any runway in the UK that you could get those speeds and then slow down without crashing!?!?

We need more info. than what has been provided.
wink.gif

Get this cleared up because I want to see a BUSA go 272MPH not KPH!

Video, Dyno sheet something!?!?!
rock.gif

I hope they are going to the DYNO wars in DAYTON with those numbers?

Once again if you make claims, you have to be able to back them up with proof! If not everyone on the Internet has 800HP/280MPH Hayabusas!
