Need help asap

@Dksmoke Yeah thats a write off. Thankfully you didnt get hurt. When you switch back to the original arm check what torque was used to install. Makes me wonder if that assembly binded and all the stress was transfered to the frame first instead of to the shock. Also check to see that arm is not torqued to one side or the other from manufacturing. A slight twist on the arm will fatigue the metal eventually.Proper torque is essential on suspension linkages. If they bind you are toast.

Hate to ask guys but y’all the busa family. Was heading to Georgia for vacation on the 22 busa and hit the bridge transition. Broke something under the bike. Definitely aluminum. Might need new rims and at least the rear tire. Anyone have a diagram of where the rear suspension hooks up to. Literally in the side of the highway right now trying to figure what I have to do to get her back on the road. She is literally laying on my helmet cause I can’t put my kickstand down

There's another thread around here from a couple years ago that I'm too lazy to find right now that the same thing had happened too. That op had installed some makeshift links or forgot spacers or something and he got lucky and suzuki did end up fixing it under warranty. Might be worth looking up and see if he did anything to change it back to stock before taking it in but I don't think he did. Unfortunately for this to happen in gonna have to say something wasn't installed right or something was left out so if you didn't do the work yourself might wanna make sure to talk to whoever did just in case suzuki denies the warranty.

Well it will add insult to injury if it is going to be non warranted.

It won’t be because from what I see it’s the aftermarket swingarm mount that failed and not the frame at all. Unless he can show better pics, that piece mounts to the swingarm.

Only thing that bolts to swingarm are the dog bones, so you are looking at the frame piece still bolted to the linkage. Here is a pic of the spare I have laying on the bench. Shock bolts to the hole without a bolt and the one with bolt through it connects to frame.

Based on the picture the OP posted the dog bone end is the side that broke off from what I see that attaches to the arm. Your left thumb side in your picture. Or did I miss a post?

The dog bones go up in his pic and are still attached to the swingarm and out of the pic. They come down and bolt to the middle hole on the part I posted. The piece of the frame is attached to the front hole via a different bolt than the one securing the dog bones. The angle of the picture makes it a little confusing so it’ll be more clear if he posts pics from other angles. At least that’s what it looks like to me when I compare to my bike and those suspension parts I have laying around.

Just noticed one of the threads I tired to share links to did not work. Just use search option and type “I think I’m screwed” and thread should come up

I gotcha now, wasn’t seeing that very well. I thought it was the dog bone end that swung down.
