need help from the .org family

I talked to my sister yesterday and it looks like my Grandmother is on her way out. So I really hate to do this but I won't be able to make it to Capts house...that weekend I am riding from KC to Warren, PA...963 miles one way. I plan on taking I-70 till Columbus, OH then taking 71 home.

Here is where I need some help. I plan on leaving KC after work on Thursday oct 2nd about 4:00-4:30 and I would like to get east of St Louis on that night and I may need a place to crash. So if you are able to help me out that would be awesome. Thanks.

sorry out of route for you here (ft wayne IN) but about an hour east of St Louis there is a decent hotel (has a pseudo GateWay Arch) and they will let you park the bike in the garage if you ask the little old lady that runs the place...

Sorry to hear this Rusty. It is a good 4 to 5 hours to Colens house (semi). That would put you on the other side of the river and away from the St. Louis traffic so you could get an early start the next day.

Thanks Hal....I think I am actually going to take half the day off that thursday and get an early start. That way I can get a good 6-7 hours of riding in. I am now thinking that if I can get around the Indy area that would be an deasy drive for me on friday.

So any family members around Indy that wouldn't mind a visitor for a night that would be awesome. Thanks to all.

Thanks Scar...she is better of not sticking around. She has had lung cancer for 11 yrs and now has 2 tumors 1 the size of a golf ball in her brain and 1 just smaller than a baseball on her spine....she has fought long and hard for many years...Its just time to go.
