Need Pics of Undertails

Usually you get what you pay for, but so far I am happy with this undertail that I got off Ebay $99.00. Comes complete with LED's and wiring harness. Havem't seen what the road rocks are going to do to it(New England still snow on the ground). It's fiberglass gel coated, and the black matches?

Yes I just bought one and installed lastnight 2/8/2006 I will get pictures when I am all done, looks sweet on the 06 LE peral white.

I have seen the UFO and I find it tacky because of the clear lens. You can see the tail light and the little signal lights, If the lens were red it would look much better. That's just my opinion.

I see nothing wrong with my UFO undertail's clear lense! When off, you see nothing and when on the whole thing lights up!

How cool is that??

I'm all about getting a Mototeck, but finding it in phantom gray is getting to be a friggin' chore! Spent the last 2 days calling and searching the Net only with zero results. So then I see the GP Euro, which looks awesome and I find it at a sweet price. Oh, sorry... out of stock on phatom gray!

Hotbodies has a phantom gray undertail, but I hear had things about them. Does anyone have a Hotbodies undertail installed on an 06 blk/gray? Or, if you have an 06 blk/gray with an undertail, where did you get it??

Forgot to mention... all the tails I've looked at are in stock in black. But, I dunno about mixing the phantom gray with a black undertail.

Has anyone done this and if so can I see a pic of how it looks, pleeeez?

BigGeorge, have you called Mototeck directly? Who else have you tried? Don't let the bad reviews stop you from ordering from a particular vendor. Take the reviews into account and if it turns out bad then you won't be surprised.

I have read nothing but bad reviews about .org members dealings w/ Exotic Sportbike. I dealt w/ them in the past (2002ish) and had an excellent experience so I gave them a try again (earlier this month). This experience was mixed. My undertail came within a week but my low beam bulb is "in process". I placed the order on the 4th. Go figure. I was warned so I'm not surprised. Keep that in mind when you order from whomever.

Big-T, I've tried a load of places... 1tail, sportbike effects, nycparts, more power, hard racing, 58 cycle, hyperperformance, bikelites, Sportbike-Xtremes, indysuperbikes, superbike store, Motorcycle Toy Store... ahhh, and more that I've probably forgotten about already.

Mototeck has the undertail, but I cannot tell if it is in-stock for sure. You cannot check the shipping charges either because they make you register for an account AND add your credit card information BEFORE you can even check!! Not a fan of that idea for sure.

My mechanic mentioned about the Hotbodies tails. He said they are very flimsy. I agree with you though, there are a bunch of companies I've bought from and have had good experiences. Products, I try to do homework and find opinions, though.

Got me thinking that the black Mototeck "might" just be something to consider.

58 cycles had a Hotbodies phantom gray undertail in stock for $197 shipped. No tag holder, no tag light, intergrated amber signals in the brake lights.

Called Mototeck them to verify if phantom gray was in stock and they had 1 left!! Mototeck actually assembles the tail based on your choices at checkout. I upgraded the brake lights to 48-LEDs for an extra $60... thinking that you can never be too safe back there. Comes complete with led tag light, tag bracket, wires, and rivets.

So, $197 shipped for the Hotbodies or $386.25 shipped for the Mototeck... went with Mototeck!

Steve at Mototeck said they would assemble it today and ship it today... sweet! Should be in my hands on Wednesday and installed on Saturday.

The motorheads tail replaces the whole undertail/fender assembly. I sold my fender complete after I swaped them . If you ever plan on lowering the rear this tail will give you the clerance you need .

Here's my modified UFO that I modified before I ever put on the bike!

 My modded one is the absolute brightest tailight ever on a 'busa!  122 red 20000mcd LEDs, 61 per lense.  Not only does it look completely empty when off, but no tiny circles either when on!

 Pictures don't do the LED justice, if looking directly at them, you still see 122 dots for the following 5 minutes!
