Need Pics of Undertails

Damn InfiniteReality That looks sweet. How did you do it?

I have seen the UFO and I find it tacky because of the clear lens. You can see the tail light and the little signal lights, If the lens were red it would look much better. That's just my opinion.

thanks! Just took time, about 3 hours of just soldering.

Basically just cut the back of the housing off (where bulbs plug in), cut a blank circuit board over each area, layout the LEDs the best way possible and start soldering! I wired 6 LEDs in series and then 3 sets of those in parallel with a 33 ohm (if I remember right) resistor per set. I also have the signals integrated in it as well. Just installed a trickflasher.com so I have 5 different flashing patters, plus my flashers work normally now. Also used a trailer integrator for the signal part. I'll get some video and more pics and post a thread in a week or so.

here's a schematic on the wiring of the integrator with diodes so my signal part of the light would work seperate from the brake light on each lense. The signals are cool looking in person and worth the extra time in wiring by themselves on the circuit board.

I want one like this with regular bulbs and integrated turn signals.  Anyone know where I can get one like that?

Check out roaringtoyz.com. They have a nice UFO undertail and a new peg mount license plate holder. Really most of their accessories are top notch! I am going to order the UFO when I get back from being deployed (atleast we have computers).

(InfiniteReality @ May 02 2006,11:29) Dang it double posted and can't delete it!

 sorry!

Here's my modified UFO that I modified before I ever put on the bike!
biggrin.gif
My modded one is the absolute brightest tailight ever on a 'busa!  122 red 20000mcd LEDs, 61 per lense.  Not only does it look completely empty when off, but no tiny circles either when on!
smile.gif
Pictures don't do the LED justice, if looking directly at them, you still see 122 dots for the following 5 minutes!

Love the UFO!

Does anyone have a side pic of the UFO?

I find, others look cool from behind, but the bike looks cut off from the side (like my current one)

I'm still on the fence of UFO, or the Brazil one on Ebay that uses the stock light (which I like as well)

Please post some UFO side pic's

Thanks

(Bansh @ Jan. 19 2006,02:16) Usually you get what you pay for, but so far I am happy with this undertail that I got off Ebay $99.00. Comes complete with LED's and wiring harness. Havem't seen what the road rocks are going to do to it(New England still snow on the ground). It's fiberglass gel coated, and the black matches?
Hijack, where are you in ct?? got the same undertail I would be interested in changing the lights the brake lights are not too bright..

That does look VERY cool!

But Talked to UFO, and that bike is a one of bike, and they will not sell you the lens in Red...(Why I have no clue, the term stupid comes to mind)

I think it should come with both clear & red, like the competition, especially considering that is one very expensive undertail!
