Hi. Thank you and I thank every one. While I was away , I missed you the most bro , you crazy bastard !!
Hi. I was not vaxed until July 2021.In my job I had about 20 people all over 55 got sick 3 of them I know quite well no one died even all the ones that are old and not in good health. I have in my job been with about 4000 people now. I got vaxed because of all the people I see and I do not want to get anyone sick. Do I think I needed it NO I did it for others.Hi. Thank you and I thankevery one.
Hi. I only have 1 daughter left she is now 45 and 1i grand daughter and 1 grandson who is 26 from my oldest daughter who was murdered. Today I went to a Honda dealer and she bought her 1st bike a Rebel 300, As she just got her license last week.Well I got my first jab so far ( waiting on 2nd ) , I did it for me Ma ( waiting too on 2nd dose ) , because I am the one out and about in public . Regardless of personally not knowing anyone that has had covid , and regardless of not ever trusting any AU government or world government for that matter , most especially any powerful communist regime .... I will do everything I can to keep the old dear safe , I owe her that at the very least . We only got each other family wise , I got no help and like it that way , no relatives in my state . I only got one remaining brother who is 3000km + away and our relationship has deteriorated over the years to minimal contact . I do not really give a chit what others think , I make whatever decisions that need to be done for my situation , and live as best I can with good will to others in general .
The research you did falls short of the truth... the vaccine is only good for about 6 months anyway. A poor diet weakens an immune system because essential nutrients are not available to strengthen the immune system. For the weakened from a poor diet the jab is a stop gap measure... meanwhile... JB and the Ho have been and are arranging transportation of illegal aliens all over the country that have a percentage of covid infections. Does that make sense to you?I can’t see any legitimate reason for not getting vaxed. The, ‘it’s just not necessary’ position doesn’t fly. The ‘it hasn’t been tested enough‘ position doesn’t either. Hundreds of thousands, millions? worldwide have been vaxed without adverse reactions, the majority of the fully vetted and accomplished medical and scientific experts around the world are vax advocates and it’s a FACT that the vax can save lives so why in the hell not get vaxed?
So using your population of poor diet folks in your hypothesis, how would you propose that same segment fares not getting the vaccine? The research you did falls short of the truth... the vaccine is only good for about 6 months anyway. Hi Kiwi Rider. Your words fi me to a T.Papers please.. . Hurry hurry!!!
Ze paaaaapers quickly!
We love you ya crazy old ambitious Motörhead madman!!! Lmao!
I simply don't wish to receive any injection I feel could be more dangerous than the thing it's supposed to protect me from. There have been incidents throughout history up to very recent years where vaccines caused problems and some of them pretty severe. Not taking the vaccine and accepting the higher risk of contracting the virus has been the lesser of two evils for me. The virus doesn't even seem to be much of a threat. I believe it is to some people but I don't choose to risk my health in order to protect theirs. Apparently half of the US population feels the same way at this point in time. The research you did falls short of the truth... the vaccine is only good for about 6 months anyway. And you claim to be an educator…I simply don't wish to receive any injection I feel could be more dangerous than the thing it's supposed to protect me from. I think we're getting close to the point where many people will need to have the vaccine in order to work and I will be one of them. At that point, I suppose I would choose the lesser of two evils again. Not working would be more risky than having the vaccine.
Now there's a statement I can agree to. Yes....once we get past this, we can all look back and say we survived the COVID years.
There are over 60 variants of the regular flu and each year the WHO take a guess at which variant will be predominate in that particular year...and the flu vaccine is based on 4 variants-this is why some flu seasons are worse than others as they may have not got it right that year...this C19 aint going away,
Hi When they get he vaccines approved by the FDA, the America can get back to doing what we do BEST. Suing the companies who made the vaccines. The two most significant posts in this thread for me, was the first from the original poster and Cap’s post. Very interesting perspectives. I read both a few times.
The first post from Australia, leans heavily towards a culture in which I grew up as a kid. There were rules at home, at school, in society and if those rules were broken, the punishment was pretty harsh. I can remember coming home from junior high school with three cane marks across my butt, given by a teacher, because I miss behaved in class. Disrespecting a senior was unheard of and would have consequences. The same goes for disrespecting rules or authority, even if I did not agree with them. Then there was military service, where I learnt what discipline and respect for authority really meant. From all of that, I was molded into a person who is not entitled, who puts his own needs last and that of the greater society first. I respect the President for the position of office he holds, irrespective of the person he may be. I wear a mask not because I want to, I wear it to try and be courteous and polite and for the benefit of others. I try not to refer to people by their color, as labeling a person in that manner to me is disrespecting a fellow human being.
Reading Cap’s post I can really identify with his thoughts of how society here in general has transformed. All I have to do is look at my own son. Unlike me, he grew up in the USA. He is a good guy, graduated college, has a successful career, a good person. But he grew up in a totally different system, where freedom of speech, expression, conduct within legal boundaries is very important. Life is easy, no need to stress about paying the bills. Lockdowns and wearing a mask impedes his freedom, something he will not necessarily respect. His political views are pretty much American and his personal opinions will take precedence over authority.
Covid is here, I had it, I have been vaccinated and I have family members who have passed away from it. My wife is a nurse, she works with Covid patients and she is experiencing a pretty high level of rising infections right now.
In NC, right now a person gets a $100 reward for getting vaccinated and $25 if you take someone to get vaccinated. Until the country gets to a 90% vaccination rate, really the only solution is protecting others and oneself from infection, even after vaccination.
Personally, what gets me the most is the world’s civility towards China where this started, followed by their own arrogance against any notion of holding them responsible.
No need to apologize Carl family is for venting too. I really hope things get better for you and you can get out and enjoy that awesome busa you've put together and can't wait to see what you've got planned from digging into the electric schematics of the gen 3.Apologies to all, but I need somewhere to vent where I won't get blasted by the local touchy, feely types.
As of 20:00Hrs last night, (Thurs) we have started another 7 days min of lockdown. This is our 6th effort at this.
By the time this 7 days are up, we will have spent just on 200 days in lockdown. What are the rules you may ask...
As I mentioned, this is the start of our 183rd day of lockdown. Last year we spent 111 days in same lockdown but with tighter restrictions, 20:00 curfew, police and army walking the streets enforcing the "stay at home orders", I Govt issued work permit to leave the house to work away from home if you're classed as a essential worker, or face up to $10k in fines.
- only 5 reasons to leave your home: food or Dr/chemist, caregiving, Authorized work-ie a emergency worker or similar and to get a vaccine.
- All retail is shut, no stores to open.
- 5km movement limit from your home
- 2 hours allowance to be outside to exercise.
- Everything else cancelled, shutdown or closed
- You can't even have a few friends meet up in the park outside
We're hurting. Families are hurting. Kids education is hurting. Businesses closing by the dozen. I'm finding it harder to get out of bed every day.
We as citizens are forbidden to leave the country. You need a Govt approved form to be able to leave the country, with a very, very good reason. Even if you have family and a work life in another country, you cannot leave without Govt approval.
We can't even go from state to state without permits. And even if you do, you risk the possibility of being locked out of your own state and not being able to get back home.
We currently have the state of 6.5 million people locked down, ( for maybe 10 cases) some areas haven't seen a case of the virus at all as they are so remote, yet they have to abide by the rules. Oh, masks are compulsory inside and out unless you're at home. Can incur a fine if caught without a mask outside. We've gone for nearly 3 months, (this time round) with no visitors to your home, which means no human contact with friends, family or loved ones.
Now we're being told that even if we get to the Govt decreed 80% population vaccinated, we'll still have restrictions, lockdowns and enforcements applied.
I have a magnificent Hayabusa that has sat for a total of over 12 months in the garage as I can't legally ride it. I'm starting to wonder why I keep it..
I am unsure what the answer is, but existing like this is not sustainable. I don't want to just exist, I want to live. I'm only here once and I've already crossed the halfway mark and I don't want to waste my time just existing. It's not what I signed up for. I'm over it. Had a gut full. Take ya Covid and jam it where the sun doesn't shine as far as I'm concerned.
i really hope my children will say "we survived the Climate change years"once we get past this, we can all look back and say we survived the COVID years.

In contrast the teachers here were almost ready to protest if they weren't moved up on the list to get vaccinated....my neighbors are both teachers and they said there was an unanimous vote to do so if the government didn't get going on getting them vaccinated...We all make choices in life but it's impossible to think everything through objectively. In most of our daily activities, routines work extremely well. The key is knowing what is important enough to break the routine for. It could save you your life in certain situations as I'm sure you know.
I've already explained my logic twice. Here's a little backup.

All vaccines are a potential risk. Covid is a potential risk. Thus far, we all had the opportunity to choose which risk to take and I chose Covid. I'm glad to see many people have taken the vaccine without any ill effects. I feel a lot safer taking it myself now as it appears that could soon be the best choice for me. I will respect the choice of those that refuse to take it though.
