New Clutch Kit

Good afternoon all,

I burnt my clutches out this past weekend playing on the street, and looking to replace them this weekend. My question I am looking at three different kits and was wondering if anyone has ran any of them. My Busa is basically stock with some bolt-ons, so not making much power over stock. However I do ride it hard, on the street and track. Thanks

1. Drag KG Clutch Kit from Schnitz racing
2. Trac Pack from Spencer cycle
3. Launch Master-BUSA from Adam Performance

Cannot comment on any of the ones you posted, haven't heard either good or bad about them, however all 3 places you listed to buy them from are reputable establishments. I've done business with Spencer and Schnitz, just not on the clutch packs you mentioned.
I run a drag pak from Cycle Concepts. I love it.

Yeah I know all of them are good companies that is why I'm so confused with which kit to go with. They all are within $20 of each other as for as price. Thanks for the info.

All I know is all the clutches you mentioned were marketed AFTER Dwayne at Cycle Concepts started selling the hell outta his Drag Paks....wonder why?
Go on Psychobike and do a lil digging around. Lots of user input over there. Again, not saying anything bad about the 3 you mentioned, I have no info to go in with them.

I am currently using a Cycle Concepts Drag pack and love it. I've got around 2000 miles and at least 250 if not more passes on it and it is still holding perfectly. Give Dwayne a call and he will get you setup.

Are you interested in a welded clutch mod, while you have it a part??

I've always heard the stock clutch is as good as anything else once you do the clutch mod. Here is a post I did with pics of my clutch after a Texas Mile event, 12k miles and 80-90 passes with the clutch mod, you can get it from Brock's or weld it up yourself if you know what your doing... https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/1-4-mile/146954-clutch-after-many-1-8th-mile-passes.html He also makes a clutch cushion kit that takes it a step further. (It will make the clutch pull considerably stiffer - no more one finger pulls) I was told you don't need it on a gen 2 but did it anyway.

To all,

Thanks for the input and advice. I went with the Schnitz Drag KG set. Ordered it yesterday, will be here tomorrow. I'll see how this kit works, who know this maybe another kit we can recommend to someone else. The Complete Kit: Steel plates, Fiber plates, and OEM springs were only $139.99 not a bad price. To GIXERHP thanks but I already have a clutch mod in it. To r1d3on3 the set I'm removing is the original set. April would have made four years on them, and I have over 12K miles on the bike. I don't ride on the track to often, but I do give it hell on the street.

First post and new to busa's. Just picked up an 05 with 25K miles on it, 159/98 RWHP/RWTQ and it's going to need a new clutch soon, so I'm trying to pick one out. No drag strips around me, so mostly street riding. Would the drag pak clutch be a good option? Looking for as close to stock pressure as possible. Thanks for any help.
