Hummer

The well-known off-road brand of General Motors will show a concept of an open-air Hummer called the HX Concept. Penned by three young designers, the two-door Hummer is smaller than an H3 and features a removable roof panel as well as removable doors and body panels. "The HX is Hummer's vision an agile, trail-ready, open-air vehicle that fits the lifestyles of everyone who needs or wants to drive off-road," said Martin Walsh, Hummer general manager. "Of course, it carries exceptional off-road capability and the distinctive styling for which all Hummers are known."￾ More details of this extreme Hummer will be available following GM's press conference in January.

This looks really tite aswell:

Aston Martin

Earlier this month Aston Martin opened its first-ever dedicated design center. To make the opening even more exciting, an all-new high-performance concept car debuted for attending VIPs. Called the V12 Vantage RS, this coupe is based on the V8 Vantage but packs a larger punch in the form of a 600-horsepower V12 engine. Not only is this Vantage concept more powerful, it also is lighter through the use of carbon fiber in the trunk lid and hood. No official word has from Aston about whether this car will make an appearance in Detroit, so we'll have to wait until January to find out.

I'll believe this when I see it:

Jeep

While there may be other production news from Jeep in Detroit, the folks at Chrysler LLC are only releasing the fact that a new Jeep Renegade Concept will make its debut. Described as a "sporty B-segment-sized two-seater," in true Jeep fashion the concept is designed for off-roading or dune surfing. With a cut-down speedster windshield, a roll bar, and a "hose-out interior", it should be a rather sporty-looking off-road vehicle. But this Jeep is also saving the environment with a propulsion system that combines a 40-mile lithium-ion battery pack and a small-displacement BLUETEC diesel engine, resulting in a claimed fuel economy of more than 110 miles per gallon.
