Hey all!
The name's Isaac. I've been riding for two years now, and recently upgraded my little k7 GS500F by getting a k3 Busa. It was a weird upgrade, seeing as how I only wanted a 750, but really I can't complain, since the busa had a better deal on it (and with low miles too, just 6.8k).
So far, I have put 200 miles on it, and all I can say is that IT IS AMAZING! This thing is as gentle as a lamb, but it can also become a beast in a second. First time I rode it home, I was smiling like a fool all the way. Something about the way it purrs. Being on this thing is like a whole different world! The seating position is absolutely wonderful. From the comfort of the seat, to the fairly raised up riding position (well, compared to the GS500). Also, the power running right below you. Being on the 500, I could go 80-100mpg. At this point, I usually start looking for 7th gear lol. Now on the busa, I haven't even touched 6th yet. All that power is just...AMAZING!
I still am trying to get used to that throttle control, and that big tire in the back (which I love so much, coming from a little 130) when I hit the twisties, but overall, this thing is just...damn...AMAZING! Three times now I said that, and I can't stress it enough!
Now, there are things I wanted to clarify about it. It is definitely NOT A BEGINNERS BIKE. I have my little 500 to thank for the throttle control and the leaning experience. This thing is pretty heavy (around 600 lbs) compared to my lil 500 (around 300 lbs), so yes, it does take some getting used to when you first get on it and try to maneuver it. My lil 500 will also get at least 50-60 mpg, while this beast will suck your wallet dry with only 29-31 mpg (love that fuel gauge by the way!). And one more thing. It gets hot on the legs! I was wondering if it was overheating on the way home, but when I checked the temp. gauge, it was right below the midline. I had to call a buddy of mine who also has a busa to confirm if it's normal, and yes, it's normal. These bikes do run hot.
So there you have it. 200 miles in and moving forward. I was just trying to start a little intro topic, but I guess I ran a little off lol. I just had to tell somebody how AMAZING (damnit) this bike really is! Well, I'll be hanging around here somewhere. Guess I'll take that back corner over yonder...
