welcome aboard. The heat just seems to exit the fairings at the right spot to get your legs a lil warm (please tell us you had pants on) its not what bike is good for a certain person, its the responsibility the person has to manage said bike. I went shopping for a 600 and after sitting on a few I rode out the door on a zx11 for my first bike.

Yes hehe, I do wear pants. I've always been a firm "ATGATT" type of guy. Sweat is easier to wash than exposed skin. The heat thing though, I'm still trying to get used to. It's great for the winter time down here in Texas, but I'm more worried about summer.

man that's a big bike to start out on:whistle: have you had any accidents/ near misses that would have been avoided if on a smaller displacement bike?
 
:welcome: home glad u made it. that is a huge jump, going from a 500 to the fastest bike on the planet. so plz plz plz becareful have alot of respect for that new found power u have. with great power comes great responceability.(spelling):beerchug: glad to have u:cheerleader:
 
Hey welcome and yes this bike is silky smooth especially in 6 gear on the highway at 70mph and also plenty of power. Thats one fine machine you have,treat her well.:thumbsup:
