...it's very green…..you really wanted a Kawasaki but had a Hayabusa so...…..

Looks very clean and well looked after.
Thanks Dude,,, I haven ridden it for five years,,, so I'm in the process of getting in back on the road! Replacing the fuel pump!! So for now I will have to ride my Wifes Kawi -Ninja !

It's almost borderline sacrilege to have a Busa almost Kawi green! Lol me and my Kawi riders up here bust balls with each other all the time lol. Gotta keep the Giggy vs Kawi war goin! Lol
Not so sure it's always Kawi Green. My wifes Ninja is Purple. Plus the Busa looks so Damn good with the Green and Black Stripes,,,, Stepping up the game ! Our Busa's come in all kinda Colours !

That's an awesome pic! The orange one looks familiar, you ride with OTR? In that light it almost looks like a mint green, thats crazy! The Rockstar kit looks good, I saw a gen 2 done with the same Rockstar kit but with the gsxr1000 tail conversion. Looked like a gsxr1000 went to the gym lol. Looked pretty sweet!

@Brownbikkka Hey Bro...yer bike looks awesome. Big fan of solid color Busa's. Photo has been over posted on here for 17+ years but it was my 1st Busa (a 2000) and has a special place in my heart.

...and maybe "Smoke's" Busa from the BikerBoyz movie.

On to my question Bro...I'm a bit confused by what appears to be a turbo dump pipe and yet a full exhaust. Has he made a "sleeper" trying to hide the fact that it is turbo'd (faux exhaust) or is he keeping the Db's down with the full pipe.

You chose green for a color for yer Bus...a daring move on a Suzuki.
I got flamed big time  for my choice in colors. A hot chic rolled onto campus one day sporting the newly released Toyota Echo in that blue. I took the opportunity to say howdy ...

and also get the paint code from inside her door.
Well the boyz instantly noticed how closely the color was to a Smurf. I was oblivious. Not a fan of the cartoon. Anyway, they gave it to me good. Back at that time you could have a banner that would appear under all yer posts...so they made this one...

....which I rolled with for a few years.

All this krap ^ is a friendly warning to my Busa Bro's to perhaps choose yer next paint color carefully.

Lol no worries, pretty sure I'm the nuby here.

Thanks, and where do you ride typically? You ever roll by the 403 & D timmies in Sauga?
Not rolling anywhere for now,,,, waiting to install the new fuel pump. It's inside the tank,,, don't want to mess with gas and electricity,, so I'm taking it to GP Bikes,, but their so booked up the earliest date I can get is October 1st !!

No big deal on the install of a fuel pump if you want a walkthru

Oof...yeah I'm dread the day I decide to do mine. I'll dive into the mod threads when it happens to decide if I want to redo it all and switch to a smaller/accessible external filter.

One of the boyz like say... @RedBull is a genius at finding needed info, dont know how he does it.
You mentioned spark and gas...bad thing. Sure it is,but no biggie here really. Disconnect your battery.
  • I would drain the tank,10 dollar plastic pump from auto parts store gets most of it out
  • lift the tank,disconnect the power/sending unit wires,and fuel hose,vac line etc
  • remove the tank 2 bolts up front,2 bolts at the back on the hinge
  • good time to clean out the tank, get rid of any dirt/debris that may be living in the bottom
  • check for rust...whole new ball game if you have rust, but that can be dealt with too
  • your new pump goes in like the old one comes out, nothing special
  • ask when you order a new pump for all seals/gaskets required
  • its pretty much plug and play
  • because of their issues,a lot of Busa owners opt for a swap to an' external pump, that is a little more involved than what you're doing here
  • if you have basic hand tool knowledge,I'm confident yer good to go
  • the other boyz will be along to point out this and that, something easier to do...or help in other ways
  • do you have a manual to work from?
