Cool. I've looked at several dpms 308 ars. Think I'm gonna be building one before too long. I've had a cetme and an m14 and I really like that round. Have fun shooting. That 308 is getting spendy these days.

Thank you for being responsible enough to keep them in a 'safe' place !
(can see it in back ground)

What's the difference between the Panther and the one on the right? Are these able to go "full-auto"

been looking at the cetme...but also been looking at a SVT-40...but i think those are a bit harder to find...

Now your talking...I love AR(s). .308 nice round very sweet.

I wish I could afford guns like I used to :banghead:

No on the full auto
One is 5.56/.223
other is 7.62/.308

dont get these confused...
a 5.56 NATO will shoot a .233 but a .223 stamped rifle will not shoot a 5.56 NATO...

a 7.62 NATO will shoot a .308 but a .308 will not shoot a 7.62 NATO

All NATO rounds are a higher pressure and a tad bigger than the rounds they are commonly compared with

Great units though! Happy Shooting!:beerchug:
Ive been talking with a dealer here in Iowa on a DPMS LR-308 SASS for a week now...great price but I think I may build a better unit for less money:thumbsup:

Neither are full auto. The POF on the right shoots 223 or 5.56 and the DPMS is a 308. The POF was much more money and is a non gas function type gun, very clean.

Very good info! I have a BM59 model 62 which shoots the 308 but it's a 1960gun (Berretta) and I was not sure about the ammo and as you said below.. this was a NATO type shooter!

Some .223 guns will fire 5.56 fine. A lot of semi autos will and here is a lil bit why the chmaber pressure are usually rated so diff. But for all accuracy sakes use the round intended.

Wow...guns & ammo 101 for me. All I know is I have a Glock 23 .40cal , I take it to the range and shoot it...clean it...repeat cycle and all I have to do is buy the same .40cal ammo for it. So the ammunition these weapons can use is bit confusing to me. Thanks fellas!
Sorry for the thread jack Skywalker.
