Imports have the highest resale value...because they last longer and are better made. So, unless you're looking for desiel, go with Toyota.

However, recently on CNNMoney there was an article about the best domestic cars that Americans aren't buying. The Dodge Ram 1500 was on it with the improvements made in the 2008/2009 models. Drive them and do research on Consumer Reports or a comparable impartial source. Car make preferences are like religion, very personal and you'll never make a Chevy lover out of a Ford Man.

Personally, I was raised in a Ford family and taught from infancy that they are the best. My daughter has 1994 Explorer with 120K+ miles and mechanically sound. I've never driven a GM product that wasn't a POS. Dan and I have been driving Jeep & Dodge for the past 16 years with few mechanical problems.

 Seriously, that's funny how you say that like it's a fact. It's one thing to have an opinion, but to say that imports are made better as if it's some universal law that foreign countries make better vehicles.....that's some funny stuff. If this was true, don't you think that fleet owners would be switching to imports vehicles in droves? Last I checked, fleets are still using domestic vehicles by the hundreds of thousands. Just look at any law agency and ask yourself if perhaps they might know a thing or two about vehicle longevity.

Alright ill jump in on this one...

It aint a truck unless its diesel. And you cant beat the Powerstroke Ford has. The Cummins is nice also.. the Duramax... well ill leave that one alone.:poke:

Just so you all know in my tiny little world my opinion is the only one that counts(on this subject anyways).. You may be correct that something is better but you will never convince my stubborn arse otherwise. :moon:

LAUGH DANGIT!!! it was funny.:cheerleader:

I like my F-150 very much, but even though the price is TOOOOOOOOO high for the Tundra I would probably pick one up.

I have had my new Tundra for 3 months. I have 6500 miles w/ 3 trackdays towing a 6X12 enclosed trailer. I couldn't even tell it was there. I got 12 mpg w/ the trailer & get 18 mpg regular driving. Great truck. I just added a bid a$$ stainless Deer repeller on the front bumper last week.
