Obama faults himself

Not to start a fight with other brother Busa riders, but most liberals look at the world that way. They feel they are so enlightened and so much more intelligent than the rest of the world. They don't understand why we can't see things as clearly as they can. It's sheer narcissism to a degree that I honestly believe most of them are genuinely mentally ill.

sorry...fresh outta dinars bud. :poke:

The current system is broke, and if you think that lack of medical coverage is only for those that are unemployed or poor...well that's just naive.

I think your issue is with the insurance companies, is it not? Why allow the government to take over a private business when it ONLY needs regulation.

Unemployed people have means to have health coverage, as do the poor. Its called a hospital. And all services cost money. Insurance is just that, insurance. You pay someone a premium whether or not you have to use the benefits they are insuring against. Insurance is like gambling. Every play blackjack and the dealer offers you insurance?

Maybe the government should just encourage doctors to have so much pro bono work. Obviously not require it, to allow people who cant afford the retail cost of these service to have an opportunity.

Why should someone be entitled to something for free that other people have to pay for?

I should get my Ferrari for free using a little bit of everybody's, and then you get to pay $200,000 for yours.

Services cost money. People are performing those services. They deserved to get paid unless they choose to do the work for charity.

Nobody is ENTITLED to anything just because they exist.

I think your issue is with the insurance companies, is it not? Absolutely. You don't see anything wrong with the way they currently operate?
Why allow the government to take over a private business when it ONLY needs regulation. I somewhat agree. As I stated above, I'm not happy that it's gotten to the point where the gov't has to step in. Start talking more regulations to these people and see where that gets you.

I know how insurance works. If an uninsured person were able to walk into a hospital and get reasonable rates for the services and medications provided, then of course. Hospitals and other health service providers, knowing that insurance will absorb the majority of costs of jack up the cost of those things exponentially, so as we're currently seeing....people who do end up going to a hospital uninsured get grossly overcharged. That's my issue.

And this is why these discussions never go anywhere. I'm not sure where you got from any of my posts that I'm all for giving anything away for free. First off, stop generalizing me and my stances because unlike a lot of other people here on the board, I have the ability to evaluate a situation individually and for what it is. There are things that I'm liberal on, some things I'm conservative on, and for you to pull out of your @$$ that I think people should get anything for free is trying to take the discussion off topic. Why does it always jump to the ridiculous opposite end of the spectrum for you guys when in discussion? We may as well not even have these discussions, because you must think me, or anyone that disagrees is a f@#*' retard right from the jump with that comment. Jeeezus.

I'm done with this topic. Thanks for the info cipher.

So by your logic. Should you lose your job and be unable to meet your medical insurance payments, and heaven forbid you have an accident or develop a life threatening illness. You would refuse medical help.

The American Dream will have to change. No doubt. The West will just have to accept that the economic power is shifting inexorably to the East and other emerging economies such as Brazil.

we have been living on borrowed money for the last 20 years or so. The bubble has burst and there is no way that Obama can fix what took 20 years to f....ck up by successive governments in 18 months. Give the guy a chance. He has been stalled at every stage for the things he has tried to introduce by politicians that do not when questioned have alternative of their own. From what i can see from across the pond and on a recent visit to Denver, Colorado. He seems to understand what action needs to be taken. The other Politicians just seem, to me at least, to not see what is important for the country as a whole but to what is important to their own party and their own careers. Wake up and smell the coffee, or this economic malaise we are in will take twice as long to come out of. Printing more money and hoping it will go away is not the answer, the debt does not disappear, it has to be paid back someday.

I did lose my job. I was fired. I didnt quit. I had the option to continue insurance for money. I declined, my choice. Should I have needed health care, I would have went to the hospital and been billed.

Not having insurance does not mean you dont get health care, it means you get to pay for it when the bill is due.

I dont understand what is wrong with making people work for what they get. In a society where people are given meals, money, healthcare for free, how does that promote anyone to be a productive member of society.

Then we get those same people breeding uncontrollably, so now it costs even more money to sustain our output to loafers.

Everyone has the ability to take care of themselves. Humans have been doing it for years. People die, people get sick, people get hurt. It happens, its life.

Why all of a sudden are we trying to stop life from happening to people?

Surely not everyone who has diligently paid their medical insurance. Loses their job and has a spare $millions to pay for cancer treatment. Granted worse case scenario.
But even the most ardent of savers surely don't have that kind of wonga in their bank account just waiting to pay a medical bill? Or am i missing a fundamental point and Cancer treatment is inexpensive in the US. I would be really pissed if for 40 years i paid my dues and yet i lose my job, am unable to pay the insurance and am unable to pay for treatment.

People die, people get sick, people get hurt. It happens, its life.

**** happens. Life isnt fair. If you cant get treated, you cant get treat. There isnt a cure for downs syndrome, but people have it, and thats not fair. Not everyone is really created equal as we would like to believe. Some are smarter than others. Some born with defects. We all have to play with the hand we are given. Its been that way since the beginning of time.

Definitely makes life easy living in a black and white world. Just does not suit my character. I have seen a lot suffering in the world during my time in the Royal Navy. The fact that i live in a first world country, i can see no reason why if the infrastructure is there to provide medical treatment should be spurned. We may as well go back to the dark ages.

Still if that is the way see things. Fair play to you.

Obama can't fix anything with 100 years...his socialistic ideals are nothing but
failure...they don't work.

It's interesting though, as you close your post you say "Printing more money and hoping it will go away is not the answer, the debt does not disappear, it has to be paid back someday." Exactly  that is exactly Obama's
plan and the only ball he's got in his bag. He's even trying to say the recession
ended 12 months ago :rofl::rofl:

Because govt doesn't create, sell, or produce ANYTHING. The only thing
it can give away is something it has TAKEN from someone else.

Point 2-Govt runs EVERYTHING badly and makes it more expensive.

We also have a little thing on this side of the pond called the Constitution...
and redistributing wealth, robbing the public, and forcing us to buy something
(trust me) IS NOT IN THERE.

HealthKare is not about healthcare...it's insurance and not even really about insurance...
If a homeless person goes to hospital, he gets treated and released. So...
what is it really about...Control and redistribution of wealth.

I've gotten my butt outa bed every working day since I was fifteen and either
hit school, work, or both. I consciously decided the size of my family (2 beautiful kids)
based on the means I could provide. I paid for my kids, I paid for their glasses,
I paid for their schooling, I paid for OUR insurance. I was never really well off,
but we never went hungry and I did these things as a Man taking responsible
care of his family, and I gave up things...there are PRIORTIES.

Now as Obama's Socialist redistribute the wealth policies bomb my job almost
out of existance, I'm told I've got to fund the worthless down the street
with her 9 kids by who know who as a matter of "compassion".

I don't really understand how people can say Obama has been stalled, or thwarted by the republicans or anyone else....

what has he been tried to pass that he did not get passed?

he promised "National Healthcare" and the crypt keeeper Nacy Pelosi and otehr dems gave it to him.

he wanted $900,000,000,000.00 Stimulus, he got it.

where has he been stalled?

the fact is his plan did not work, plain and simple.

Well, you know he want's to do cap and tax, which is pure insanity and will
destroy what's left of the economy.

And he still wants Amnesty and a completely open boarder. Mexico appears
to be in trouble and immagration and drug trafficing is a SERIOUS issue, yet
the main job (IMHO) of govt', public defense, they are willing to sell your
safety for a few future votes.

Your right though, it is funny. The Progressives own both the house and
the senate and still blame the republicans.

I don't really know if he wants amnesty? I think its just something to talk about, its get some votes.

the last ammnesty was done by Reagan, and contrary to what most people think. the majority of new voters would be "conservative", highly religious, and traditional immigrants.....gay rights, and pro-abortion stances by Dem. politicians would send then to the republican party....

the Liberal "mexicans" are the american born children, they have the same sense of entitlement that white children have.

Why is it that medical insurance, an invention of the modern era, is somehow an inherent right, on par with free speech, freedom of religion, etc. How did we as a society become so inept that we must grant outselves the right to everything to make our lives carefree? We live in an era that plays host to the first generation of Americans that actually suffered very little yet demands more than ever. My back hurts, give me free medical care, my baby is hungry, give me free forumula, my car is broken, give me free bus fare, my husband lost his job, give us a free place to live. I hate to say it, but your grandfathers and great grandfathers would be ashamed of some of you. Do we really want to be known as the Gimme Generation? We're on track, and I see no way to turn back the clock now.
