Ogre you seem very knowledgeable about head lights & HID.. would be interested in your thoughts...on a couple of concerns of mine


1:
Do you have to put some kind of delay or on an off switch on the head light after putting HID's, cause I heard some people had problems when they opened the ignition switch an then hit the starter the head light would does "on" & "off" flash during the process of starting an it would damage something on the HID setup..??? Not sure if thats a myth or not

2: Can you put a couple Angel eyes on this setup think it would look pretty slick.. but I have heard bad things about the Angel Eyes also... or is that myth as well ???

i can do led or ccfl angel eyes, and the way to start a bike with HID's is as follows

HOLD starter button, turn key on, verify bike is in neutral, grab clutch, release starter button. they don't flash, no voltage issues, no need for a timer.

There seems to be a voltage spike when the HIDs initially fire up. I just simply threw on a toggle switch on my inner fairing which is inline w/ the positive wire going to the headlight harness. I'll start the bike 1st, and as it's running I'll throw on the HIDs. It also helps not blind the hell outta people when you start it up in a parking lot or something.

All that's cool but the timer is easy ..just turn the key and start...lol and it's so easy to add on .just my 3 cents

I have had HID's on my bike and always have started it up and had the headlight flash. It has never failed on me........

Busa1166 I have gone back to regular start method.
Hey for as low as the whole thing was and bulbs from them are only like 15 bucks I said F it.
Got tired of it.
Dont notice any flashing as I thought I was originally preventing with regular start either.
