i rode my bike home late sept in illinois and had to put it after 150 miles.Do i change the oil now & then again after my 500miles or wait until i get my 500. thanks tru
The swarf thats too large to pass through the oil pick-up screen and get to the filter can only be drained out .
For this one i'd simply drain the sump " no filter change " then run it a few hundred more and switch to *Maxima Maxum 4 Extra synthetic with filter change.
That way the oil hidden in the nooks and crannies of the engine that does not drain won't be in too bad a shape in terms of dilluting the incoming new synthetic oil that, under the wait till 600 miles rule , would only make cause for a shorter first interval of the synlube .
* My personal number one choice for the street Busa before all other oils .
PM me for the next five oils I could use or the one's I could never.
I have been telling people this for as long as I can remember and they just dont listen !as a young boy I was schooled by a aero space engine builder and was given the same advice 30 years ago and have used it on every engine I have owned since and the proof is in the pudding . my last car was a 2002 wrx and when it left my ownership it had 138000 on it and compression was perfect with no blow bye and had been tuned to 245hp & 260tq to the wheels from 8000 on . try it you wont be disappointed
PS when I was in school for motorcycle mechanics ( AMI )in 2000 one of my instructors had been employed by kawasaki in there research and development program and I was told the same thing by him as well
