Kawasaki 10W40 and recently Valvoline Motorcycle 10W40. ..Honda Gn4 ain't bad either.

Petro-can Duron 10/40 semi synth. Specs out very close to Amsoil 10/40 motorcycle oil for 1/4 of the price.

They also make a nice synthetic 5/40 that my little gix is enjoying right now.

why can't you go back to regular after using synthetic

i used to mix anything I had with my gixxer1100 1988 never had a problem got rid of the bike after 60,000 miles

Mine is just being broken in still (with regular oil) but I have heard Amsoil is best.

My poor Busa is confused i am sure------about oil--- used 0-40 Mobil 1----now using castrol 10/40
start up Dino------cling cling--- 20K plus miles---will see what happens---Phatroy's popped at 79K
And BigO's around 54K----Ya never know--The Busa will pop sooner or later.
I have used Suzuki dino 10/40. Hondaline 10/40 dino etc. will keep ya'all posted

I use Shell Rotella T full synthetic in the blue gallon container. I get it at Walmart for about $13.00 a gallon. I have used it in several bikes in the last few years and have not only had no problems but it seems to run smoother, it's more quiet, and it shifts easier. It is also one of the true full synthetic's. It's actually a heavy duty truck oil, but what the hell it works fine for me.

Am I wasting my money? I go to the dealer and buy OEM Suzuki Oil and Oil filter. Change it every 1k miles. Bike has only 4k on it. I'm not a bike mechanic but I thought motorcycle oil has special additives so thats why I but the OEM stuff.

Amsoil synthetic motorcycle oil. It is JASO rated and wet clutch compatable. Also, you want an anti-foaming agent. Oil can become frothy at high RPM and it can lose some of its protective qualities while in that condition. Check out the Amsoil website - they address all those issues. 6.25 qt.
