Amzoil also 10w40 and to the other statement if u use a synthetic u have to stay synthetic u dont have to stay with it u can go back with the mineral oil. Its one of those old wise tale along with u cant run synthetic from day one but the Corvette and many others do so whats the difference nothing. Hope this helps.

(Dr Geekenstein @ Oct. 01 2003,20:39) Valvoline VR1 Racing 20W50, not ever going to synth on my baby, she likes the REAL THING !!

This thread...talk about being brought back from the grave.

Oh well, been using OE oil and filter for first two changes...likely going to a full synthetic next change.

thread resurrection AAAssjani.gif

I use Motorex fluids on the Busa
used Motul on the 1K

K&N oil & air filters
also an oil screen to catch any particles & to keep an eye on how the engine is running
good preventive maintenance for only $10 for 5 I believe

These folk have been around for a long time like me! Diesel Engines and non converter M/C have alot in common! the phosphorus content has been declining in passenger car oils. Unless you run it in the red line area alot! This is a great, and won't break the budget oil! Has exlnt, corrosion inhibitors, and more of the stuff that is needed for keeping vis after being beat by the trany. No friction mods like energy conser oil, which is a no/no for wet clutch's. Hey! Buy the best for her! Treat her rite and you won't go wrong!! But if you change your over priced zuki oil every 1k (unless you only put on 3k a year) you will probably wear the threads out on the oil pan B4 its broke in!! poke.gif  beerchug.gif  bowdown.gif

Unless your beating the h out of it or have 12lbs of shid in a 10lb bag so to speak! like some 200+ Hp folk! Just change it when the tranny starts to feel clunky with a filter every other R&R, zuke says 7k! Look at your magnet in the plug for parts! Your good to go. I just went to Shell Rotella "T" 5w40 full synthetic after 8k of break in. Only got 500 miles on it and i can't really say I've noticed a diff vs the T 15w40 dino! But with the dino she would start to shift clunky after 1200 miles so we will C. all_coholic.gif lurk.gif
