Was riding through Redlands Ca, went around corner hit throttle front end came up just barely set it rite down. Sure enough 1 min later all kinda lights going off in parking lot behind me. Cop was a T/O had new boy with him! First he says" No More Wheelies" I laughed then he noticed I did'nt have my class M indorsement so he decided to write me up , put me for Reckless Driving and Funny he wrote me going 20 mph in a 25 mph zone. **** I can even get my bike up to wheelie within 20 mphs LOL. Anyway after he wrote the ticket I started to get on my bike put on my helmet & he comes over and says"You Can't ride it". I say" Oh ****ing great I'm DEAF I'll call someone officer. LOL Dork ! Anyways I'm going to fight it. Have'nt had a ticket in 4 years no points on my DL will get class M indorsement on the 1st. Kinda funny last ticket I got was for going 3 Mphs through a stop sign, Judge looked at that and said to me Dam plain bad luck my son! LoL Now I've had 8 tickets since I was 12 years old & never fought 1 always paid,But this time I'm gonna fight it. Sucks for me as here in San Bernardino Ca when you go to court only people with pink tickets are allowed in courtroom. And being Deaf I never get a chance to hear or tell my side of it. Any advice would be greatly appericated! thanks Hayawiz

Hayawiz- I didn't know that you are deaf. I am guessing that something that you did caused you to fail "the test". That is too bad, because it may have simply been a communication thing and not an attitude problem. In the future, it helps if you stack the deck in your favor. I mess up too, but I got my motorcycle endorsement, and I always carry my insurance and registration papers. I try not to fail the test, but sometimes I still get cited. Good luck.

Uh, dude. That's a misdemeanor. You were asked to go get booked, right?
You'll go to a criminal court!
If you're clean, talk to the DA and ask to have it dropped to a traffic violation (speeding) and get away from the misdemeanor.
(Either that, or pay $506, 2 work furlough days, and have a record for a few years.)

Hey Mike,

No I was not asked to be booked & on my ticket neither booking required or infraction are checked??? I must go to Municipal court. And I have no record of any kind. Thanks for the help Wiz

The reason he couldn't continue to ride the bike wasn't because he was being booked. It was because legally he didn't have a license to ride on the streets. (No class M endorsement)

I got a warning for no class M endoresent years ago. It was shortly after they added the requirement that bike riders needed to have the endoresement to ride a bike on city streets. Before this you only had to have a regular driver's license. At least I was allowed to go on my way.

When I went to get the class M they [DPS] asked me how long I had been riding and of course noticed I wasn't 16 years old. I told them and they automatically gave me my endorsement without taking either the written or road test. The DPS officer figured I knew what I was doing by now and they were mostly concerned with kids. Nice.
