ok guys help me beat this

On the ticket there should be a plea that you can mail in. When going to court always plea not guilty. Consult a few lawyers out of the yellow pages for free on an intial consultation as most in the yellow pages try to suck you in this way. Just get the initial free advice and then go to a laywer recommended by several reliable sources if you still feel you need one. When going to court always dress and present yourself in your most professional manner. If bringing your lawyer let him do the talking unless directly questioned by the judge. Hence the slang for laywer(mouthpiece). Like most others on this topic I feel that the ticket is unjust and you were cited, regardless of your actual speed, because you were presumed to be breaking the law, and the vehicle you were using looks fast.

Hell, the 'busa looks so fast I bet most of us would get tickets parked if it were leagal for cops to do so. Good Luck on your case.

Rich,,Some Police academy's Train officers on "Speed Estimates" Where recruits Train in Radar but also Estimate the Speed of a vehicle with the Radar Off.

This will Most likely be the officers point of attack. Take it to the limit,,ask for his Estimate Scores from the academy if no device was used.

If he does use this,,the Judge will look at any prior violations you may have,, The officer for sure will pull up your driver abstract for proof. (I Do it all the Time) If you have Prior Speeding,,then you're most likely dead in the water with a higher Insurance Bill. Either way..lets us know the outcome.

call the cop's station every day for a week and ask for him. They will surely tell you if he has the day off. Then when you know what days he has off, re-schedule the court date for one of his days off.

I have been reading this site for quite a while and I have had a great time listening and learning from everyone. Even though I own a lowly zx-11 (goes 19 miles an hour slower in case you did not know) I love all motorcycles. I have been most impressed with the posts from FalconCop. He sounds like a real action hero! I am most impressed with his "ZERO TOLERANCE" for anyone who breaks the law (excepting of course other police officers and his friends). Anyway I am posting a challenge to FalconCop. Since he is "not human" I was wondering if he could do all of humanity and motorcycling a favor? I just developed a new high impact helmut and I need somone to test it. All you would need to do is get your bike up to about 194mph and run it into a brick wall built specifically for our test (I am hoping it will be tough enough to stop a super tough guy like you). Not only will you be testing the integrity of the helmut but you will also be simultaniously testing the travel distance of plastic of the Hayabusa from the point of impact. Are you up to the challenge?

P.S. This will be on a closed course so you won't have to issue yourself a speeding citation.

FC, be a good boy now and say "bye, bye" to one and all here. Your an embarrassment to the rest of us. If you don't listen to this advise, you'll be the next one to be embarrassed. NJSP-NOMAD

I am a prosecutor and all of the suggstions are very good ones.
Some additional thoughts:
Estimation of speed is a recognized method in court.
Delay is good, criminal cases are not like wine.
Do some research on the judge (pro tem or sitting) that will hear your case.
Appeal is good if you can afford the timne and hassle.
Finally, FalconCop is a moron and a disgrace to the profession. I have been reading some of his posts lately. Hard to tell if someone that ignorant is just internet bluster, or, he really is that stupid.

I'm Glad to see I'm so popular :)

Ninja-boy LiL trouble with the law in your past I see.

Sure we Give Breaks to other Cops,,double standard Remember. DOH !! )))

FalconBarney has managed to become the most notorious celebrity on this site since Cyberjosie. It's unfair to Cyberjosie to compare the two of them, though.

Being a cop, or cop-wannabe, whichever the truth is, really has nothing to do with it. It is certainly not an excuse. This guy is just socially challenged (to use a polite term), that's all. Hopefully he'll go away pretty soon.

Hahahaha yes FalconCop everyone who thinks you are a clown has had trouble with the law and that is why we laugh at you. It has nothing to do with the fact that you sound like a 12 year old with a badge. We are really all ex convicts and we ride motorcycles because the warden takes you to the dealership and buys you a new bike after you do your time. I am thinking about going back in so I can get a new Busa.
