Gillette M3 Power, Oh yeah In Kawi Green No Less. But like I have mentioned before, I am a sucker for clever marketing. I'll buy a product just for the hell of it and once in awhile I find a product thats worthwhile.

I was making fun of the M3 "Power" but I figured what the hell the Mach III Turbo was better than the Mach III so I'll give it a shot. Well I really do think the razor vibrating does help the blades move easier across the skin. Hell if nothing else I can play like I am shaving with a Bulldozer, or something.

Anyway it's good stuff. BUT, do not waste your money buying M3 Specific refills buy the regular MACH III Turbo refills. They fit no sweat.

Mostly the M3 Power when loaded with its AAA battery has a real good size and weight to it. The fact that you can push a little button and the thing starts humming and vibrating?

Well that's just an extra bonus. It's the best shave I have eer had and I have tried em all.

The Mach III series with it's rear hinged blade does take a little getting used to, the first time I tried it, I was really unhappy, but after a few shaves I noticed that it really did shave better. Give it a shot, good stuff..

Combine the Gillette M3 Power with Edge Active Care
Shave Gel, Natural Cool, with Eucalyptus and your in shaving heaven...

SO there it is, a little somethin somethin for our intrepid Pacific Brother...

to you, bro!

I myself have been a MIII fan since they came out...pretty darn good shave here and "there". Contoured perfectly to all...err...bumps. Had a coupla nicks here and there, but mostly 'cause I was pressing too hard.

I currently use the Championship Edition Shaft with the Turbo head. Hrmm...that sounded kinda funny. At any rate....I was previously unaware of this one. I guess you can say I was "slipping".
laugh.gif
Good concept, though.

So ya say it vibrates while you shave, huh? Nice...while Rev is thinking "I'm shaving with a Bulldozer", Pac is thinking "WTF?? I'm shaving with a vibrator that has razors attached to it! Hey wait a minute...."

Somtimes I wonder about myself.

Needless to say...I stand humbled. And very intrigued....looks like it's time to buy me a M3Power Edition. Vibrating, huh?

Oh that SOOOO sounds like me!

Oh yeah...and I forgot one tip: If ya want a really smooth shave, try this:

Heat up some milk mixed with about a shot of full cream. Not too hot, as you will be using it on your face or other areas. Take a hot rag, let it soak in the milk and cream and let it sit on the area to be shaved for several minutes. Make sure your water is heated as well, but use it minimally. You should be using more of the leftover heated milk and cream. What happens is the heat, along with the cream and milk, serve to open your pores better and to loosen the hair follicles. Th looser it is, the closer you can get. The closer you get, the smoother it gets.

Give it a whirl, guys and gals!

I understand, Rev...it's kinda hard to comprehend at first. Yeah, milk and cookies go great together and so does ice cream, but it's just something a little new.

The trick that they do is that it softens up the skin...makes them pores open up and loosens the Follicles. It's something in the milk and cream that does wonders for the skin. The heat is an added bonus.

Now I don't know about soakin me nads in heated milk and cream, but I won't knock it till I try it. Actually, it's been a long day at work...I guess a nice hot bath is in order. May as well bring the shaving bowl into the tub with me...

Yeah...I've thought about it, actually! I know not many people will fess up to it, but thas cool. It's just kinda funny when you stop to think about it.

And yeah...very interesting. A vibrator with blades...very cool. Nonetheless, I'm gonna give it a run...I just hope I don't get a M3 with a big bore engine in it. I'd hate to have that damn thing go wild on me when I try and get smooth.

And fug yeah....Gillette's not even employing their biggest advertiser. I'm thinkin they should at least send me a demo model.

GREAT Review Rev! I too worship at the feet of Gilette and their creation. Have you tried those other brands?? MAN! Oughta be a law. Anyway, I wondered if the vibs were gimmicky or functional. I have to check it out!

Good call on the gel style too. I concur! You musta done the same research I did.
biggrin.gif
.... scouring the net for reviews....

As a side note, I still use the single bladed disposables on occasion or when traveling or desperate.... I ACCIDENTALLY discovered the CHEAPEST Store brand was the best I'd disposable I'd ever used! It is the 'Target' brand single blade 12 for $1.15!!! I bought some out of desperation once, and it shocked the crap out of me how good they were - compared to Shick, Gilette cheapos and everything!

Sorry, PAC, me no got time to boil milk before shaving... I usaully have about 10 minutes to shave and that's it! Sounds interesting though! Where did you come up with that?

Dude, $175 for a nickel plated handle??? No thanks, I mean cool stuff and all but dayum... For $175 I want some Titanium and Carbon Fiber.

Rev? REV! Rev. What is the matter with you? I'm sure your wife sits here and reads your posts and feels so embarrassed.

Yeah but it's a busy little peanut inside a head with a nice smooth nic free shave...

Oh, and one other thing, try not to shave right before going on a long ride or wearing a tie for work etc. especially if it is really hot out. It'll give your face all sorts of fits.

Wife embarrassed??? Nah, She'll be seen with me in Public so I am pretty sure I cannot go wrong on the board.

Personally I a big Sensor fan. I've tried the triples and even the quads. The 2 blades fit under my beak better, feel sharper and stay sharper longer.

Shave in the shower, last thing ya do before rinsing off. The heat does the softening thing (my Russian heritage has caused electric razors to come to a screeching halt!) and the copious water keeps the blades rinsed well.

Use no mirror, heck, ya know were yer face is anyway.

Ivory soap does the trick, slippery enough and not many additives (99 44/100 % pure baby!) to affect my sensitive skin.

Shave on Bro!

See, this is why I've enjoyed this board (albeit vicariously) so much over the past year! The hilarity never stops!

On the subject of milk... women have historically taken milk baths to soften their skin. Honey works very well also, but probably not so nice for shaving. As an aside, "Le Petit Marseiliais" makes a very nice milk soap. Softens beautifully and smells nice too. It's kind of expensive, but it makes a nice gift for people who are into bathroom stuff.
