I’m for a flat tax across the board. Just take all the tax breaks away , like was taken from the working man.

I had an interesting business discussion with one of my prominent builder clients yesterday.

He asked me if I could offer a discount for cash, that is hard cash as in bank notes. I am about to invoice him North of 30K for a deposit on the next house, wanted to know if I would consider 5% discount for cash.

I explained that I could not, as all my purchases are from reputable companies and go through my business bank account. I file 1099’s and W2’s for the folks who work for me.

Then I started thinking about this.

When I am on his building sites, almost none of the framers, the tilers, and some of the other trades can speak a word of English.

So my guess is, most of them don’t have social security numbers, and they are paid in cash, by the head honcho, who also gets paid in cash.

So if you want zero taxes, just pretend to be an illegal immigrant.

And your state as well as the Fed will probably encourage you, otherwise how do all these illegals put food on the table.

I'm all for millionaires getting richer. They take the risk and create jobs for the rest of us. I don't want anyone to become poorer. Here's something we might agree on, or maybe not... I am tired of the tax breaks and incentives, for anyone, especially businesses and millionaires. Just do a simple flat tax or small fair percentage tax per person and that's it! Nothing else! We do need a teensy weeny bit of socialism for roads, parks, basic education, military.... but the ridiculous amount of money that comes out of my paycheck to be squandered away on other countries, illegals, criminals, govt bs, etc....is staggering. I don't even make 100k a year, and probably never will. But damn near half my paycheck is taken from me. Put the money back in our pockets and let us decide who we want to give it to or spend it. Trump isn't the savior, but he is a hell of alot more to that line of thinking than dems. This ridiculous inflation is 100% bidens fault. Trumps way of doing things is leaps and bounds better. That's why I voted for him. To unburden me from what has been.

You probably don't remember this thing called Covid 19, but it kind of rocked the world economies. You also probably already forgot about things like the supply chain problems and tens of thousands of brand new cars that were sitting waiting for chips from foreign countries. Biden didn't cause that. But he did start the move to have chips made here in the USA so that we don't need to rely on foreign countries for things like chips.

And Biden didn't make eggs cost $9.00/dozen for a while. That was businesses gouging us.

But I'm sure that trump could have snapped his fingers and chips would have magically appeared and eggs would have come right down to $.39/dozen.

Time will tell what will happen. I hope for those less fortunate Americans that things go well. I'm sitting pretty well and won't have any financial problems. But for the paycheck to paycheck crowd, all I can say is hang on for dear life. Maybe get yourself a nice sturdy cardboard box to live in because you may need it.

Your "prominent builder client" is playing with fire when dealing with large amounts of cash like that. Not from being robbed by hoodlums, but by having the IRS come down on him. I'd be very careful of dealing with anyone that is dealing in cash for tens of thousands of dollars. Google "banking secrecy act".

On the political news shows today, the number that they were throwing around for trump to cut those taxes and do what he says he is going to do will add around 9 trillion to the national debt. I distinctly recall the right going nuts over Obama adding 8 trillion in 8 years, but when trump followed that up with nearly 8 trillion in four years, I didn't hear a peep out of them. Can you spell h y p o c r i t e s?

I am looking forward to paying zero taxes on my social security and paying half for gas for my vehicle fleet, heating and electric for my homes. Bring it on.

In the long run the stock market is a safe investment, second to real estate in my opinion. There will be an adjustment, there almost always is, but that’s the stock market.
Up and down with a decent gradual increase.

My wife did payrolls for many companies, the IRS would call and tell her the employees SS number did not exist. They claimed the max dependents. When she called the employer, they said the guy no longer worked for them, but they had a new employee, and it started all over again.

And I don't think every Liberal is a libtard. I have some very fine friends that are Liberals. They have much in common to Conservatives. Their arguments don't require calling anyone a racist, or a fascist or etc. They never try and assert how highly educated they are. They never try to condescend who they are talking to. They have good kids that they raised with a nuclear family. They want the same type things they grew up with. Good schools. Safe neighborhoods. Respectful children. Good jobs. Low crime.

One of them was on the task force that defunded police in I think it was a town in New Jersey somewhere. That resulted in an 80% reduction in crime and more resources to help the community they serve. I learned defunding it's not about trying to remove law enforcement. It's about re-configuring how they serve. If I would have listened to what Fox told me about defending of police, he and I would probably not want to discuss that topic.

I also came to him when I needed help. Sylvester (whose black) have you ever been subjected to unfair interactions from white cops? Yep, I was placed flat on a hood of a car with a baton across my neck because I was jogging and didn't have any ID on me. Once they learned who I was they tried to get out of it. Another was and is a close personal friend of Dr Fauci. He knows Dr Fauci to be an honorable man whose intent is to heal people. He worked with Fauci during the AIDS epidemic. That was a very similar crisis in time in America.

He also believes Dr. Fauci made some mistakes in how he presented information. Fauci is not a politician. He wasn't prepared for the political tone his role would be forced into. And he did not and still does not support the vaccines that were mandated with Fauci's support. Fauci was in a tough spot during that time. Fauci and the rest were trying to stay ahead of a Virus that mutated rapidly. The story changed, because the virus changed. Not because he was trying to mislead the public.
