One Piece Black Chrome Dash Panels

Ahh. Well I guess I didn't have to send that message. I didn't see your post. I guess you can tell us how in the heck you're supposed to get the fairings on and off.

Im bettin they bolt to the fairing like the regular 2 peice ones, but ya gotta release the pop rivets on the top to get em off everytime. Small price to pay, Id be using a lot of painters tape on the gauges each time tho

Probably worth the money, ever try to DA sand those stock panels before? Not a quick process.

Cool find Russell.... Ordered a Pair from overwhelming curiosity...

Update later when they show up..

Call me skeptical initially... lol

Nice!!! :cheerleader: Im jealous cause i want them... They would look nice on my busa.... I look forward very much to seeing them on your bike

Ordered them yesterday, still no shipping notifications....

I don't forsee them being TOO bad as far as the fairings if they are "as advertised" as they say they are two piece, installed like the stockers NOT on top of them...

That said, who knows...

Anyhow, i have the turbo install to do as well, so it may not be as TIMELY as you would like... but ill do my best HAHAH.. and iowa just got hit with a blizzard.... So i'm not starting today HAHAH

:rofl::rofl: you can keep all that snow. Here in Arizona we having a "cold spell" this week. Its at 32 degrees in the morning but mid 50's in the afternoon. We never get snow so I ride year round. Most days (this time of year) we have mid 60's by lunch time. All last week was in the upper 60's and sunny. The trade of is the desert is flat so not many twisties...

apparently where ever i go, i am DOOOoooomed to cold and snow...

Update...

Pannels showed up....

pictures in a bit (just got home from gym)

over all positive, but certainly some negatives to consider...

more in a bit

lol.... they aren't on the bike yet... but at least you'll have some close ups of what the hell they actually are...

just finished my dinner, so will be snapping them shortly..

Picture time!

Arrives in a large box, with protective plastic on surface to preserve the chrome surface... individually wrapped... its actually a styrofoam bag of sorts...

Peeled back some of the plastic cover... the chrome appears to be of good quality, no spots, bubbles, or peeling...

The chrome trim is kinda cheesy... its the automotive chrome edge trim that you might get in any store... and the pieces are only ok, i feel i could have done a better job myself... but its an effort, because the edges are not finished particularly well as youll see in a second..

2011-02-07_21-07-57_603.jpg

The back of the piece... it appears to be a molded piece... the quality is NOT oem, but it is not BAD either.... about what you might expect...

2011-02-07_21-08-41_275.jpg

The edge finish i was refering too....

It looks like they attempted to deburr the edges by hand, possibly with a rotary device.... but it wasnt done particularly well...

Final thoughts.... they LOOK good, for those wanting the finished look, where many including myself think suzuki came up short... they just might be for you...

that said, they are 170 dollars finished... and i have yet to really check fitament... so that remains to be determined...

However, they could be a low cost alternative to a nicely finished look...

If anyone wants other shots, let me know... i just kinda grabbed a few that i thought would hilight the points...

I haven't peeled back the protective plastic any further really than i had too, as i dont want them to get buggered up while they are waiting for install..

i think they look good. just take some sand paper and rub those rough edges down a bit and your done.

Did some temporary fitting quickly, looks like the will fit up nicely, and definitly clean things up...

however, not pictures, and no install as the bike is totally torn down right now due to turbo install... :cheerleader:

I promisse, as long as someone stays on it, i will get a final review up... but more precisely... when the install of the turbo is finished, i will have a BUNCH of pictures to put up LOL...

exactly what i was thinking bro..

The only reason i haven't labled these as a BUY, is because i havent gotten them test fit, and the return policy at the buisness isnt the greatest...

Once i at least can check fitament, i will be a lot more willing to thumbs up or thumbs down..
