One Piece Black Chrome Dash Panels

exactly what i was thinking bro..

The only reason i haven't labled these as a BUY, is because i havent gotten them test fit, and the return policy at the buisness isnt the greatest...

Once i at least can check fitament, i will be a lot more willing to thumbs up or thumbs down..
:agree:anxiously awaiting for the pics!

No thankyou. I don't want the headache of trying to remove/install the bodypanels with these and trying to not chip the paint..

hey guys I have the chrome set being installed on my bike as we speak as well, and they will def make the bike look nice and clean, you will def enjoy them

HA, i was wondering if this would pop up... They still havent gotten on to the bike...

I did kinda put them up to check fitament, and they looked GOOD.. however they still havent actually made it on, or been bolted up..

The turbo build is holding these up.... I still need to figure out the best way to drill a hole into them without destroying them, for the boost gauge...

I dont think i even took any pictures when i tossed them up to check fitament, because i wasnt really even thinking about it..

Sorry!

lol, i have a giant pile of parts still to put on the bike, its going to look NOTHING like it did before i started this project HEHEHEHE

Wow geez, maybe by the time you fix it up and post pictures. The seller wont be selling anymore of these:laugh:

Half ass review incoming!! I put them up and on, but didnt want to hang all the plastics etc.... so take it for what it is... half assed... :moon:

OK, so they get a 9/10 for looks, they look pretty damn slick actually..

7/10 durability... i left them in the protective covering up until i took those pictures, but even then they go a scratch in them just like that... However, this is my first piece of "chromed plastic" so this may just be the nature of the beast??? I also didnt try to remove the scratch, so it may end up being a non issue...

6/10 fitament I didnt expect much, and they delivered about that much... there are gaps here and there, and clips that just dont quite match... from what i have heard, they are similar to how well the HK skins fit... on the left upper near the windshield, one side fit great, and the other side fit... much less than great... there is a 1/8th inch gap there...

7.5/10 install ease and removal... it will be a bit of a pain to work around them but NOT as bad as you might initially have thought... i wont know for sure until i really hang on the side plastics though to see how it will all go together... since the turbo install is only 95% finished, i didnt want to put them together, just to take it all apart...

Bottomline.... Definite improvement over stock plastics... worth the money??
i would say yes for most, unless your wanting absolute show quality work, then run away and dont look back... These will never be as good as a professionally done piece from an OEM base plastic, but for most i think they would end up happy after a little finagling to get it just right...

That looks pretty sweet. to bad you bought the last ones!!!!

What are hk skins?

hk skins = hong kong plastics... the aftermarket plastics that are seen frequently for ~400 or 500.00 (i think thats the price)

have to admitt, they look good, just fit poorly from what i have heard...

just typing fast and tried to make it short hand :)

Yeah I messed up mine sanding them. I seen hk skins and I thought another set might be out there.

are they Chrome silver or black

Supposed to be black chrome, they end up looking like a dark grey chrome instead .. However, that works well for my bike ...

Cool looks like it should go well with your color scheme.
