I drive all over the west coast and I4 (up to 417, to get to Brevard County) for work and can't believe the insanity. I used to hate driving through the area of your accident, when it was part of my sales territory. Tampa is a freak'n zoo, too. St. Pete/Clearwater is getting just as bad.

Well, just happy it wasnt worse. The sad part about the whole deal is that I just check my six before i got hit. A truck was kinda riding close behind me, but he turned so I relaxed. Checked my rear view mirror again, looked forward, and boom. The women hit me from the other lane. She said she was avoiding a collision with some guy in front of her. I guess I was a smaller target. I think if I would have seen it coming, I would have tensed up and probly gotten hurt worse.

Anyways, I really appreciate all the input from everyone here!!!

With the tank buckled like that, you need to make sure the frame is not bent or cracked. Unless the subframe from the trunk area pushed your seat forward, there is nothing else that could explain the tank damage other than the frame flexing.

Its a brand new 08, same as mine, even the color.

About 4500 miles or so on her. I know Im a geek but I wipe the bike down almost before every ride.

Ouch. Ramo, looking at those pics, glad you're okay too. Had two riders I know also get rear-ended this season too. Bike can be fixed (or replaced). You walked away, can't get better than that.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Many others have said that too. Maybe go with the white one but not crazy about black frame on white and the blue logos. I wish somone would chrome the rims and lower a white 09 so that I could get a better idea of what it would look like.
