I have crashed on a racetrack at 130+ & walked away.
I have hit a car going 70 mph & walked away.(kind of limped sort of)
I have crashed repeatedly on racetracks in the last 30 years.

A HELMET SAVED MY LIFE EVERY TIME

If you don't wear it for you, wear it for the people that care about you.

Oh & all the excuses as to why you don't wear one are BULL$HITE

I had my visor half up, and hit a bee. The bee hit the edge of my visor and was cut in half. Well, half of the bee ended up in my mouth.

we have had two moped crashes here in as many days, both riders suffered serious head injuries and died... Stupid law here allows ANYONE to ride on the street with a 50cc or less bike without tags, license or gear... both these fatalities fell under this exclusion..

I would love to know how to get this loophole closed... my attitude towards all this is getting worse every time someone dies..

any legal eagles with advice?

I got stung by some sort of black wasp on Memorial day while working on my boat. I was bent in half, hanging half upside down removing the exhaust manifolds for some TIG welding (repairs). Fugger nailed me on the right lower back just above the belt. I am allergic, the last time was when I was 12 and that one landed me in the hospital. Time before that was 63 stings, little boys can be stupid you know... Anyhow I chose not to EPI PEN myself, popped 4 antihistamines (normal dose is one) that I carry on me at all times (I kinda developed a funky allergy to fruits in the last year or so and need them quite often) and had a couple of peanut butter cups for some sugar and then I waited EPI in reach... I lived. I had a Vodka and cranberry shortly there afer and turned into a bucket of poop for the rest of the day. I was mess the next day, amazing what one little sting can do.

I dont wear a helmet. I know call me stupid or what ever you like. I live in Minnesota where we dont have helmet laws. Me, I feel safer without a helmet, easier to hear and see for me. If i ever did crash I would rather be dead than wreck my 2008 hayabusa lol, just kidding.
But i would rather be dead than be disfigured the rest of my life.

I have always said that it SHOULD be up to the rider to decide, but your only fooling yourself if you "think" its safer. Ive riden dirt bikes and quads and have crashed them many times, thankfully i did wear a helmet. I have also gone down on my kawisaki gpz 750 doing 50 mph(rookie mistake)grabbed tooooo much front brake and locked up the front wheel. It shook and sent me over, all i saw was black,blue,yellow,blue,black,green. I had 4 gouges taken outta my helmet.
If i wasnt wearing one i woulda been dead..........

had one bounce off my jacket and get into my helmet, 2 stings on the neck and one on the fingers killing him
another one got down the back of my jacket, 4 stings until i could stop and get the jacket and shirt off
another one hit the windshield, then the mirror, the stinger and poison sac got stuck on the wrist
best one was a swarm of honey bees, 68 dead bee hits on the bike, 6 stings through the jeans

riding with bees is exciting

another good example of why to wear pants/jeans instead of shorts

just imagine getting a stinger on the zinger
