Pacific Northwest

If you're referring to BentValve, he bought a house with part of his settlement. I got a call from him a couple of weeks ago. He sounds like he's doing pretty good right now. He does miss motorcycles though.

YES!!

Good to hear that he is doing well

Well, I went back to the stock rear sprocket and mounted a new BT016 190/55ZR17 on the rear. The turn in is great. The Busa still pulls like a train.

I took a ride up HWY 20 to Diablo Pass yesterday. It went great until a friend of mine crashed because that bike's kickstand switch had been bypassed the mechanic. The kickstand wasn't up all the way after a rest stop. When my friend started riding down the road and turned left the kickstand caught and the ground and high-sided. The speed was about 35 MPH. The bike slid for almost 100ft. Minor damage on the bike. It's an Aprilla Falco, and it's all fixable.

The rider is bruised and battered. A few sore muscles and road rash on one foot. She was wearing all her gear. She had on a textile Tour Master Transition jacket, Joe Rocket textile pants, Olympia gloves and Oxtar boots. The Tour Master jacket took a lot of damage on the arms. The armor did a good job keeping my friend in good shape. The pants had a few rash spots, but held up pretty good. The gloves are fine. The boots failed horribly on the inside left foot. Her foot was dragging down the road twisted and the inside edge of the boot hit the ground. The zipper on the boot tore loose and the sliding ripped open the boot exposing her foot and she ended up with a hole about the size of a quarter.

My friend will be fine. Today I took her to a bike shop to get better gear. She picked up a First Gear jacket and pants, and new AStar Web Gortex boots. I fixed the kickstand switch and made sure the bike was running correctly. She will be riding the bike to work tomorrow.

I hope everyone else had a less eventful weekend.

Definitely glad to hear that!!

anyone here in the PNW a mechanical genius? Ride my bike, give me the correct answer as to the cause of the vibration and i'll give you a gift cert for dinner somewhere decent. :beerchug:

I've done the 16k service, just did a new clutch, and it's boggling my mind. I think some of it is in the drivetrain, but there's more vibration than I remember just sitting in neutral free revving as well. ???

help!

I'd post it up for everyone slugsgomo...(mech/tech forum) I'm positive someone on this board will have some answers for ya.
