Normal pain from surgery is tough for certain, and it does seem like docs don't give you enough to get through that 2 weeks or so of really bad pain. You need to be aggressive about just how much pain you're in, keeping in mind that extreme and unending pain might show something's not right. Threaten to change to another doc, but just keep in mind with today's lawsuits and liability being on the doctors, they are extra careful about giving out the narcotics...

I've been where you are, though not having been through exactly what you've been through...unending pain and not able to get medications to help without hopping from doc to doc...it's a rough road and can unfortunately last a long time
