PAIR Mod Complete!

Very nicely done. Good lookin bike. Question: Has anybody chromed or can you buy chromed air intake grates next to the blinkers or blue anodized, etc??? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you sir. 2nd the eBay thing; I've seen them floating around... To each their own. I'm financially ready for another mod and seeing how the past week has been 25 degrees (high), I need another mod. Suggestions fellas? ???

what is the bolt size of the plug where did you get that blue plug?

THIS NEEDS TO BE PINNED:snap::hello::idea::idea::idea::mad2::popcorn: :goodidea: :boohoo:

This is going to sound crazy since everyone likes to take the Pair valve off. But we have found on the dyno with a stock Gen 1 you lose 2 HP when you do this mod. It helps remove crankcase pressure which provides free hp.

Typically installing a 2nd intake cam will provide a Gen 1 Busa with 7hp, we have found by re-installing the PAIR valve along with the intake cam mod (Most of the bikes we have done the intake cam on had the PAIR valve removed prior to us getting the bike.) we get 12 hp. A 5 hp gain.

Before everyone starts disagreeing, put a bike on the dyno with a PAIR valve, then take it off and put it on the Dyno again.

I would have left my PAIR on but I guess road salt got to it and the studs/PAIR tubes were rusted pretty bad. I removed them and installed stainless cap screws with the block offs. The far left stud was a real pain to get out but slotted the end with a dremmel and it came out.

This would make since if the Pair valve had anything to do with relieving crankcase pressure...which it doesnt! It doesnt even tie into the engine in any way! It simply pumps air from the airbox straight into the exhaust to fool the sniffers. This IS NOT a crankcase ventilation system such as on a car. Perhaps your numbers were caused by something else since has nothing to do whatsoever with crankcase pressure relief. One hose to the airbox to draw fresh air, one vacuum line to tell the valve when to open, and one tube to each exhaust port. No lines to pull pressure from crankcase, head, ect. But since you've taken so many on and off you should have known that already..
