Yeah...I had an incident on my '02 in which no one was trying to crowd me out of my lane...I was merely overtaking a big rig on the right (as the 16-lane highway) was splitting into two separate 8-laners (SoCal, you know; I-5/I-805; known simply as "The Split" southbound and "The Merge" northbound) so my passing on the right hand side is allowed. Anyway, the retread came off one of the 18-wheeler's well, wheels. The mid-airborn gator hit me and my bike, *****-slapping me at 80mph to the pavement.
It was a mess.
I was lucky. Well, I am lucky. I was able to get up off the pavement after sliding for a great distance, and dodge two lanes of clueless oncoming traffic to get to the side of the freeway. It could have been much worse. Indeed, I am in 'bonus rounds'.
Please brothers...don't let your ego get you maimed or remembered.
