It’s set TC 10, I believe that’s why it feels a little lacking, it does feel like it’s got more torque on the interstate, great design on the lower throttle side fairing for easy access to filter, lots of small awesome things, cruise control…… it really turns much better than any of my previous Busi, throttle is gonna take a little getting use to, no throttle cables , looks awesome, trunk space has been reduced again, only have 400 miles on it so far, lots of things I’ve noticed but of course have forgotten. Headlight seems improved but I haven’t been on a night ride. Don’t do a lot of that. Lots of changes, gonna have to turn TC off and see if it runs better. Haven’t really been hard on it, first service this AM 600 miles.Give us a review, what are your thoughts so far?
These bikes seem so much smoother and I love the cockpit view much better. I like it way more than I thought I would and it looks way better in person.First service complete, oil and oil filter, tightened chain.
I think they’re the same, the shop did this work, first three services on them. I was told the break in was over yesterday. My bike was in U3, I changed TC 10 to off, and PW3 to 1. Still not happy and every time I switched the bike off it reverted to the original settings. So then I changed to U1 which was set to TC1 and PW1 and I found the Busa. Be very, very careful if you do this. These bikes seem so much smoother and I love the cockpit view much better. I like it way more than I thought I would and it looks way better in person.
Do you know if the old oil filter works or is it different?
OMG, this thing tells you the outside temp, NO, playing around this AM and found U1. I have found the Busa. If you select U1 be very carefulGive us a review, what are your thoughts so far?
Hey, if I didn’t say; there’s a small section of the throttle side fairing that gives you access to the oil filter. These bikes seem so much smoother and I love the cockpit view much better. I like it way more than I thought I would and it looks way better in person.

That's a nice feature for all those that couldn't get the filter off/out on a Gen-2...Hey, if I didn’t say; there’s a small section of the throttle side fairing that gives you access to the oil filter.
Thank you! I'll be doing mine this week. I'll have to look and see how to reset the service reminder.Hey, if I didn’t say; there’s a small section of the throttle side fairing that gives you access to the oil filter.
The latest gixxers use a switch on an otherwise unused port (or paperclip) to enable a reset option in the service menu…Thank you! I'll be doing mine this week. I'll have to look and see how to reset the service reminder.
I was afraid of that. The latest gixxers use a switch on an otherwise unused port (or paperclip) to enable a reset option in the service menu…
well, on the ‘08 I just opened the belly and replaced the filter, wondered why everyone removed the fairing. Then I bought the ‘18 and found they had changed the oil cooler line. On the ‘18 I had to remove the fairing, and drop the oil cooler line to get the filter out. Hoping this is a good fix to an easier oil change That's a nice feature for all those that couldn't get the filter off/out on a Gen-2...![]()
Did you figure out how to reset the service reminder? I got mine done at the dealership and they forgot to reset the service reminder..damn..Thank you! I'll be doing mine this week. I'll have to look and see how to reset the service reminder.
