I didn't know Don personally and would have been unable to attend in any case. Thank you, though, for sharing pictures, everyone. You've all moved me deeply with your words and pictures.
I did not know RayaBusa personally, but thank you for sharing the pics. To the org members who attended the funeral thank you for honoring him and displaying the love and respect you felt for a member and a true friend.
Thanks for the pics Cap. First time on website in a long time and can't say it was a good one. I am glad to have met and known Don. He was one of the best guys I have ever met and one of the biggest lovers of motorcycles. I wish I could have been there with you guys for his funeral. Glad to see he was in the presence of good friends..
After 25 years and retirement, it was hard for me too; I've had to give that speech before. This time, I was not in uniform but I saluted anyway hard habit not to break and wanted to pay my respects they way I felt best at it.
I wanted to tell you about that... when you snapped to attention and salute? I realized just how powerful that ceremony was... It was at that moment I knew it was "final" Thank you so much for that display.. it did my heart good...
I didn't know Don personally, but what I observed over the years on this forum. He is how I wanted to be when I get that age. He loved riding you can see it. RIP Don
