I know where jules is coming from here too-I dont watch much political debates either but I do enjoy readin a few good jabs from intelligent folk about silly politicians f**kn up once n awhile...

Don't we all have control of our keyboards? What I mean is, if you don't want to read about, discuss or listen to someone discuss politics, then don't open that thread and move on to one you do want to read about? If someone does want to discuss it, then who are we to stifle it here or anywhere?

I think everyone should stand up for what they believe and vote their conscience. I enjoy a civil debate of the issues, but I think we should refrain from calling people with other points of view names like stoopid, etc. Just my .02.

And that's why I vote RAY RAY in '08...

*RAY RAY approved this message* :cheerleader::cheerleader:

Seriously, I agree with Don...civil is great, somewhat heated is even OK, but respectful is a must and if you feel the need to name call, perhaps there's a great OTHER forum for you out there somewhere where they don't care

The reason I even launched this thread is because when I came back to my 'puter after attempting to actually do some work today (quickly lost interest in that effort), the first two threads were political.

I thought I was in the wrong place!

Anyway... We now return you to your regularly scheduled political in-fighting.

:beerchug:

dont you have some PACKING to do????:beerchug:
get off the 'puter n start stuffin that race-suit in your duffle bag bro!

oh, wait....i forgot, we have a whole 'nother month to go...

I havent been on as much this week so imagine my surprise almost the entire first page of random thoughts is focused on political stuff. Its not bad enough that we get nothing but politics on the news and TV, as well as most street corners these days but now instead of spirited or just seriously random semi bike related fun (mostly, though the fail thread deserves a sticky at the top IMHO  ) we get politics here too ???

Maybe we can have the admins create a section for political pooh that can be easily moved/archived in Dec once all this fun is over and done? Just a thought

What's so hard about avoiding the political threads to those that seem so upset by 'em? Seriously, if it's not something I'm interested in even reading, I don't click the button...

Here... :easy:

We all have the right not to click on a political thread. We "Adults" Should be able to police ourselves. I certainly do not need anyone to do it for me.

Besides this site is very political in nature. Look how much propaganda there is on removing the relectors from the 'Busa.

Politics are in the :rulez:

RANDOM THOUGHTS itSELF has little to do with Hayabusas... thus the name. If it's not politics we "discuss", it's religion, abortion, weather, racism, which bike is the fastest color... who cares? This is one of the FEW places online where the people are cool enough to have INTELLIGENT opposing discussions. I voted allow.

Cast your vote about whether or not you care how anyone else casts their vote.

I'm not saying how I'll vote in this poll, but I'm also NOT SAYING HOW I'LL VOTE in the upcoming G/Election!

Politics is volatile and has nothing to do with Hayabusa-ing...so VOTE NOW!

Allow Political Threads?
Disallow Political Threads?

It's bad enough you can't even watch the news without getting saturated by mud-slinging and lies...do you want it here, as well?

Its in the "Random Thoughts" section.
I dont see any problem talking politics in the random thoughts section.

"Sticky on the FAILS thread"

I second that idea!!!

  I HATE to have to go searching for it when I get some new funnies to add..

Michelle you are too funny!!

I almost said this earlier, but did not want to start any shid over my joke. Here goes nothing! In regards to a previous thread: Don't ya think it is so cool that Palin's husband LETS her be involved in politics?? Okay, Okay I will let it die.

OMG, that's exactly what I was like, thinking like yesterday when I was like allowed to do the laundry and like stuff...wow...

Yep, she's a lucky gal  Wow, to be like her... *sigh*

:cheerleader:

As long as the discussions are in the right thread area I like them.
We are all alive in other areas and who better to share our thoughts with?
