Post your favorite beer!

first off, i just want to say I LOVE BEER

i'm lucky enough to travel quite a bit, and trying new beers of the world is something i take great pleasure in.

now that thats out of the way, for an everday available beer, i like sam adams boston lager.  it's about as good a beer as you'll find at your average applebees, fridays, etc.  Sam Oktoberfest is good when it starts showing up on tap as well.  Spaten and Paulaner also make good Okto's.

any time i go through germany, i always pick up a couple cases of 1878.  if i get to go through ireland, i always try to have a beamish red.  and if i'm on the east coast, i prefer yuenglueng, or however you spell it.

beyond that, i'm on a quest to try every IPA i can find.  you truely have to be a beer lover to appreciate good IPAs, and damn do i love me some IPA.  some of my favorites are Racer5, Pyramid, and Flying Dog.

Are any of you Wisconsinites fans of New Glarus? I think their stuff is fantastic, but you can't get it outside Wisconsin.

My girlfriend's parents live in Manitowoc, I always pick up a case of Spotted Cow when I'm there. And even non beer drinkers love the Raspberry Tart. I always buy a few 750s of that and it's never enough.

I drink around a 12 pack cold slop per weekend.
When I go 2 drive inn i go raceing sat may
take few case friend wants 1 dont drink @ track,

Flying Dog Old Scratch and Pacifico Clara are my favorite beers right now.

I used to work just down the street from the Flying Dog brewery. I've spent many hours drinking their beer.

Other good beers: Guinness, Harp, Newcastle. I like IPA's too. Most breweries also have a wheat beer. I like trying them on for size as well.

one of my super favs is a microbrew from a restaurant called granite city and I love their 'brother benedicts bock'........

All time favorite is Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout! Another good one I tried recently is Samuel Adams Scotch ale. My normal old day to day is good old Vitamin R (Rainier)

. I started Drinking Rainier with my wifes Grampa every time we would go visit and never stopped. Coolest old dude you'd ever meet.

I just had two beers and now I want more.

Everyday drinking while working in the yard, working on the bike, with dinner (i.e. Mexican), or hell, just thirsty: Miller Lite, Michelob Lite, Mich Ultra.

Sitting to enjoy a beer: Blue Moon, Sam Adams, New Castle, Spaten, Sierra Nevada, etc.

Bud Lite is just nasty IMO...I can handle regular Budweiser but Bud lite is crap.

Re: Post your favorite beer!

GUINNESS!!! The only beer I can stand to drink.

Have you noticed that cans and bottles of Guinness have gone from 12 ounces to 11.2?

Becks, Heineken, New Castle Brown ale, Fat Tire. I don't like U.S. beer. It's way to weak in taste.
