AAhhhh yes, I heard FL was really cracking down on one wheel up episodes about a year ago.

WoW, wonder what came into play to bring this much attention to wheelies down there~?~

*******s.....doing mile long wheelies on the Public highways......running through the tolls on a wheelie so they don't have to pay.....Ive seen them HOLD up traffic so they can slowdown enough to do a wheelie...so people got fed up and now we have the new law

A lot of groups blocking off all travel lanes so their buddies can ride up front an stunt in peace. Public got sick of it, cops got sick of it, so they gave LEO license to kill bikers in different ways, same penalties apply to to tag placement violation.

i got pulled for doing a wheelie by a state trooper last week. i got out and said "man cant you ride it any farther then that"? i just knew i was getting in alot of trouble but he said i wasn't speeding and didn't do anything wrong. he said hes glad i wasn't doing it around cars and there was nothing careless and reckless about it. he just gave me a warning for out of date sticker

I got pulled a few years ago for the front tire coming up about 2 inches leaving a stop light about 25 mph. Gave me a reckless driving~!~

Told the judge the truth...I just had a gearing change. He dropped it.

im 300lbs and with a 43 sprocket, i can pop it up around 5k in 1st gear. thats without pulling or leaning back.

If I'm going up any kind of hill, I don't need to get off the throttle, the front end will come up on it's own around 8500 RPM. On the flat, roll off then on around 6500 to bring it up, but I'm running 18/40 for gears. Even with its weight, you can land the Busa soft.

when lived in S Florida the rule was not to stop if you seen the blue lights. It has got so bad there that when I left last year they would flatbed a whole mess of bikes if one guy in the group pulled the front end up.

On the toll gates the SUNPASS lanes will not photo violate anything faster than 100 as the lens doesnt snap fast enough, not that I would know or anything...

Ya now that I am in the DC area you have to be even more careful, especially in VA where anything more than 30 over is condsidered a crime agains the common wealth and demands a court appearance. Fines can be up to $2500 and one year in jail, some guys have actually spent 30 days for going 86 in a 55.
If you get caught going over 100 ANYWHERE in VA they take you straight to jail no questions asked.

One guy I know thru a friend was riding normal speed on 495 and got passed by a like looking bike, the cop pulled him over and impounded his bike and took him to jail, later the camera footage from the cops car proved the bike was different because the guy had a axle sideways mounted tag, the guy that got pulled and jailed didn't. Still he was arrested and in jail for nearly 2 hours before things got ironed out.

Now his TSI and CSI clearance are in jepordy because of the arrest, he says next time he sees blue hes pinning it.

In Delaware 20 mph. over, and your license is gone. 50 mph. over is a felony.

(being a TOTAL DUMB@SS)I got a $300 reckless driving for riding a 50mph stand-up wheelie thru a small town(30MPH zone)--didn't realize how f*'d I would be in another state...not to mention I didn't have my endorsement ("M" on DL),my proof of insurance,any form a registration, and was sporting a paper tag that I just that morning granted myself another month with a Sharpie... nothing was ever said about tag or my licence,or anything else. I honestly almost threw up. Turned out cop had an 05 LE busa...SO LUCKY, I ride safe,smarter, and more appreciative now.

Here in ontario we have this thing called Bill 203, and the penalty falls under section 172. Basically if you pop a wheelie you get charged with " stunt driving" fine up to 10,000 bucks and impounded. If you do 50km over the speed limit same thing, stunt driving.

With cars they can actually impound the car and it goes right to the crusher if you have previous violations. If you go to youtube you can see them crushing BMW,s , Civics etc.

I know its messed up. They are starting to ease up on the Biker crowd now but they go hard on the rice burners.

You have moddified exhaust you get this thing called" driving vehicle without proper emissions installed" 450 dollar fine. Tinted windows = Color code obstruct interior.

I know its messed up , but you guys South of us have it good compared to up here.
