Prayers needed

My kids and I are praying for ya Bud. Your gonna get through this no problemo!

Kevin, I'm SO glad to hear the news of it not being too bad. Don't say you're not deserving of this, you're a great guy, and very deserving. You quickly became a good friend when I met you last year, and it's tough to gain my trust as quickly as you did bro. You're a good man. Prayers will be continued on my end. With the power of God, this too shall pass. I hope to have a chance to make it to the bash this year, if so, we'll go get some Mexican food again.

I know its easier said than done, but don't worry. Keep the faith brother. The doc is going to give you more good news this morning.

Thanks for all the warm thoughts and prayers, my wife and I have felt every one. We are getting ready to go and meet with the surgeon to see what the next few days will hold for us.

Please continue to remember us and I take some sort of scan today to find out if the cancer is isolated.

Sorry to hear bad news come to a good person. Just keep telling yourself it's better to find it now then later. With all the support you have here their's no problem that you can't overcome! My prayers to you and your family.

Fingers are still crossed and a fresh prayer just went out for ya, Kev.

I hope your scan (probably a PET scan with injected radioactive glucose) comes back negative for any other cancer locations.

Keep the faith, Brother and hopefully the resection can be done via endoscopic approach or laparoscopic technique so you can be back on the Busa asap and ride the Dragon with us at the Bash!

Kev, stay positive my man, you have a ton of support out here!

You'll be fine!

Prayers sent..

So far so good Kevin!! Great news about the cure rate!!

Surgery will go well too...completely normal to be nervous about that...

Well my Busa bros and sisters...I do have some good news. Which is seeming to be the norm and I am not complaining.

I met with the surgeon today. After reviewing my charts and blood work, he is not sending me for a scan. The surgeon feels that this is a very isolated instance in my body especially due to a normal white blood cell count.

He is extremly confident that the surgery will take care of the cancer in my body.

The next big announcement...I am not going to be cut open from bottom of breastbone to top of groin. The procedure will be performed by laparoscopic technique. For those that dont know it is a way less invasive procedure. Tom mentioned it earlier and I know he can attest to it that my recovery time has just ben cut in half.

Now for the surgery, I am scheduled for 7:30am Monday morning at St Josephs in Asheville. My faith is still strong and I know we are going to get throught this.

My wife and I both thank all of you for the calls, PM's, email and posts.

God bless my brother.... Will be praying for you the whole time! So glad to see that things are already looking up!

(BUSAFETT @ Aug. 14 2007,12:38) Kevin, today's medical technology is simply astounding- I'm simply blown away by the advances being made DAILY. My point is, my guess is you'll be out of this mess VERY soon and back on the Busa. You're in our thoughts bro.

Keep us posted.

BF
