Predictions for cost of 1-year-old 2022 Hayabusa

Premium Care package looks like the old Audi Card of yesteryear ( possibly aging myself ) - basically everything is covered excluding wearable items no doubt for the first 3 services or 2 years. Pretty sweet deal - I did read not available for Canada but personally I opted to go with the 5 year / 60 month total warranty option for I think it was $1200.00 - Protection Plan this way should it not be the bike I believed it to be I can trade in or sell outright and the warranty is transferable to the next buyer within said 5 year period.

Not sure how many would buy into purchasing the protection plan but I figure with so many electronics now on the bikes I believe you would quickly spend 1200 dollars on very few issues? I know its insurance and for many not worth the paper its written on but still peace of mind :)

Starting off the new year in the right direction. That didn't take long - > $16500
starting to come down quickly

Is that warranty plan underwritten by Suzuki or a third party? I had a plan on my first BMW that was useless because they declined to cover everything. I called BMW and they said it was not their plan. They also declined to cover the issue because they said I had opted for the 3rd party plan.

Not saying the Suzuki plan is bad, just asking. It sounds like a great deal but to be honest I'm not sure I would worry about it on a Busa until it gets to 100K miles or so, hehe. That's a really big statement if Suzuki is covering it, that's some serious standing behind your product. After all, it ain't a BMW where you need coverage the day it rolls out of the shop.

My neighbor down the street had his butt kissed by BMW.....he sure got a pile of goodies out of them including a warranty extension....he's pretty happy with them right now...

His S1KRR is a nice bike but not Hayabusa nice...even my old Bumblebee will give him a run...

Insurance for me on the new Busa will be $2200.00 - 60 yrs old, live in the middle of no-where, no tickets ever but that is the price to play up here in Ontario at least. New bike was 23,000 cdn dollars +++ and will be order # 3 of 5 coming to Ontario for all of this coming year being 2022. Everything is changing - yes, Prices are crazy - yes, but if you want to ride one - thats the price to play! My Shelby with 750 HP insurance is only 750.00 bucks - I guess you cant get a break on everything despite my age :)
Hi. WOW That is a lot of $. Hy ins for 2 bikes, a truck and a car was only $800.00 for the year.

Arch- I gotta disagree with ya, I’m on my 4th BMW as we speak-k1600gt sport and it’s flawless, same was my 2 sk1rr and my HP4 comp, all performed perfect and BMW always went above and beyond like Suzuki has been, had more problems with my new 14r and Ducati then anything else, oh and the piece of crap CVO, lol

I don't know it's name, but it's recent.
I'm 44, no tickets in 20 years, great credit, cdlA, low crime rate here, I have a perfect insurance score(0 claims)...and don't get me started on high insurance rates...mine Always have been, and at every company, and no one can explain it.
Liability it is, F em.

Ok
So I just did a Progressive insurance quote for a Gen3(They have Always been the cheapest for me, and liability is $74 a year on my DRZ400, lol).
I almost fell out of my chair!
I was expecting it to be so much worse!
These 3 prices don't include $143 down...but I can get full coverge for $969 a year with a $1k deductable, and for $1600 a year, a $250 deductable and much more coverage(that I really don't need).
I am in Disbelife!!!
Did I mention I'll be buying a gen3 very soon?! lol
This is what I paid for my gen2 over a decade ago!(I won't talk about double and triple that for a 1k! lol)

This dealer in Oklahoma has had this on sale for at least 3 months. Not much interest, even at this great price - $15,983 OTD

"$15,983 OUT THE DOOR. THE 15,983 INCLUDES ALL FREIGHT; PREP AND DOC FEES. # SM0636 1 Miles"

I'm in the same boat as you @pashnit - I will be buying one paying cash when the price dips just bit more. I do love the matte silver over red.

There is also one listed for $17k in the classifieds

That might be a better deal than new, given that California sales tax can be greatly reduced.

The Busa is a 50 state bike, there is no special CA version, so any bike can be registered here regardless of mileage.

I liked those too, and the silver gen3 looks good...but black is my favorite color, and a must for when I buy one.
Wait long enough and when the world goes to EV only, you can get one for nothing...there won't be any fuel for it but maybe they'll have retrofit EV powerplants for them by then...
