Price Reduction: Brock CT Series

LOL isnt that the truth. You gotta pay to play. And people usually forget that you also get a free tune with the pipe. You dont have to pay for a dyno tune like you do with others exhaust system. And in my opinion brocks tunes run very well:thumbsup:

A tune is different than a base map... I agree that you get what you pay for. So what would this exhaust do extra to justify the price tag? Is the power going to be way higher? Will the titanium last longer? Is the customer support really needed in most cases? Is the free map better than a tuned bike? Just wondering...

The "base map" is pretty close. A local reputable tuner only picked up 2hp across the board after doing a "full tune". He even said that Brock's maps are so close that he might only be able to pick up 5 hp. So go spend your money on the cheaper exhaust and then pay someone another $300-400 to tune your baby and HOPE they know what they are doing. I will just stay with my Brocks exhaust.

The fit and quality of this system is second to none. I use to be a big Yoshimura buyer and had owned several over the years on all my Gixxers. The last one was a nightmare.

I was very pleased with the way everything fit and lined up with my Bock's CT series system. The whole system only weights about 8.5 lbs

Trust me guys, i've seen these pipes in action... i had Akrapovic evolution on my previous 1000 and i currently have Yoshimura R-77, i just bought this system cause i really couldnt resist the sound, looks and the real power you get from it... its THE EXHAUST,,, really top stuff and it weighs nothing, i wouldnt buy anything else. 500$ more can make you really smile everytime you gas it, look at it or need some real costumer service

Well I just put on my new CT Brocks system and hooly dooly it is unbelievable, the whole system wieghed less than one stock muffler LOL and as for the tuned map he sent WOW talk about a new bike!!! Brocks kicks arse over any previous system I have had including Yoshi and Acropovic - AWESOME!!!! I didnt want to pay that sort of money either but now its a moot point, I dont think there is a pipe anywhere near these system and to get a custom map to your bike for your mods etc support has been exceptional and second to none - Brock answered every email I sent within a very short time - really cant fault anything and I have been riding for 35+ years and had a lot of bikes!

I am curious can you just get a Brock's exhaust without the map and save the $300 from them or no matter what are you paying the same price ? What about folks who already have a custom tune and are simply changing exhaust ? Is their price from Brock's cheaper ????

I'm not sure about your meaning on the first question, but if you are wondering if you can just buy a Brock's system without buying a PC with map loaded from them, then yes you can.. I bought my Full exhaust from them, and the PC with maps were an option if you wanted it.. I think my AH was around $1050 +/-.. I added the PC with Brock's map for an additional fee :beerchug:

If you install a completely new system, you really should re-tune with the new system..

Strange I guess nobody reads anyone's signature these days ? I keep getting told that I realy should re-tune my Busa if I get a new system ?

'Uh hello McFly anyone in there ?":poke:

'09 White and Blue BewZa-Muzzy 4into1 soon to be Brock's AH, pwr cmndr V, XTRE, K&N, Custom Dyno tune by Blais Cycle of Miami-182Bhp and SaaaMooth-"I found ma Thrill"
:poke::beerchug:

I have already purchased an AH system from Brock. Just waiting for it because I ordered it with a ceramic coating. I got a great price on it direct from them. I just kept seeing that it comes with a map ? This I don't need
so I thought maybe I had neglected to mention this and paid too much.

Just installed the Brock's 2CT dual, I've noticed that there isn't a lot of pics and vids/ sound clips for the system so i'm posting some pics/ vids will follow very soon,,, the finish is jewelry work and the power gain is amaizing ... got the map 3 hours after my email to Brock and he even answered before working hours!!! companies should learn costumer service from Brock... I'm a happy man now Thanks Brock :laugh::laugh:

 Never mind, obviously you got it covered... Didn't know the Muzzy 4 into 1 and the Brock's AH were identical systems...

A business will try and get as much money as they can for their product.......the market (us) will decide what its really worth. Obviously the markets decided the original prices were too high, so they've been lowered. I think the markets going to decide they should be lowered more

Yep! Around $800 would be pushing it. Money is few and far between these days so prices are going to have to match.

A manufacturer still has to pay for materials and labor building them. With the cost of metals having sky rocketed over the past 2 years...hard to tell what his mark up is. But he is entitled to a profit...I would be very surprised if these pipes were ever seen less than 1200 dollars in a couple of years...Man the weight savings on the fat chick coupled with hp gain is almost more than I can bear... I'm sorry for dissing the Suzuki engineer's..I have heard they had to satisfy Euro emission controls...but those pipes are hideously ugly and heavy. 2hip

they should be around 1500msrp... maybe if they made them in house they could be dual or not.

Guys,

Quite frankly…it’s very difficult to bring the latest technology and some of the world finest motorcycle exhaust craftsmanship to market at a DISCOUNT these days! The good news is that we offer our ultra light stainless series at a much lower price for the cost conscious.

I will admit that 2009 was not the best of timing to release a line of ultra-high tech products such as our CT Series, TiWinders and BST wheels from a “global economy†standpoint. But, we learned from the market and our competitors (such as TiForce/Arata/Micron/Dymag) in this new area and adjusted accordingly to avoid a similar demise.

Our customers are the winners in the end and we learned a valuable lesson in becoming more efficient to make profit. I am very proud of my staff for not only weathering this storm in the industry, but excelling compared to some (most it seems :confused2:). Very few companies can claim that they were UP in 2009. We can state proudly that we are AND more importantly, that we are preparing for a serious increase in 2010. We are creating a structure which will allow us to provide our current high level of customer support to a much larger customer base in the years to come.

It’s fun! Almost like racing motorcycles….

Funny you should mention the shuttle…..

One common problem with previous titanium motorcycle exhaust systems is cracking due to oxidation, usually created by excessive heat (Nitrous Oxide/land speed etc.) We wanted no part of this bad karma, so we set out to cure the problem before it began.

We are the first (and I believe STILL the ONLY) motorcycle aftermarket exhaust company in the world to use Ti-1Cu high temperature alloy in critical areas of the construction of our full Ti exhaust systems (spoken like a proud papa!). Keith Thompsons HTP Performance nitrous oxide GSX-R1000 has over 250 full nitrous passes on his TiWinder so far this year with NO PROBLEMS. We use the same material in the CT series and CTMeg also…..You gotta LOVE TechnologyJ.

Tech heads can go nuts reading about Ti-1Cu here (caution, this might make your head hurts….it does mine!): Titanium alloy developments: the 21st Annual ITA Conference & Exhibition was held in Scottsdale, Arizona, last September. Here i - Entrepreneur.com
