Brock's CT Series - Who Has One?

Really like the look of this pipe.My last bike had a MegaPhone. This pipe is not quite as rowdy, but still has nice rumble.

Whats the $1000 extra benefit of the full CT over the Full Yoshi? Just asking because of love both and im stuck on which one I should purchase.

I ran across this thread and was wondering what your impressions are now that you have these systems installed. I was going to do a dual full yoshi exhaust which would run me about 1k, but im also very interested in the brocks dual which would run 2k. Is that extra 1k worth it between the two exhausts? :dunno:

Thanks ahead of time.

Still very pleased with it and would make the same decision again today if needed. I was a dyed in the wool Yosh buyer for all previous GSX-R's, since '86, I've owned but the last full yosh system I bought was my last. The quality\fit and finish are not what they used to be.

Had the Yoshi r-77 slip ons before i got the Dual CT,,, i gave them to my mechanic for free! the sound is not that good and the finish is crap,,, 1000 miles on them and the pipes went yellow, exhausts are just like everything else, you get what you pay for.

I have been extreemly happy with my system, the fit, finish and build quality are just awesome. I would buy them again, and have recieved many compliments on both the apperance and sound. They are extremely light and 2000 miles later i can tell you that they are holding up well.

Thats why I got the duels - sound level. I figure 2 cans are better than one.I would not want it any louder that it is.Sound is:thumbsup:
Nothing is free so, no noise = no perf. :poke:
Perf. wise there may be small pos. & neg. gains in hp/tq between the single & duel system, prob. a wash in the end?
I like the duel look, and not a severe penalty in weight for the extra can.
Only drawback is chain maintence on the duel system, still NBD. :beerchug:

Ok, Last question, I swear. How are these on long runs? annoying after a while or good to go?
They have a nice sound but are not loud enough to become annoying on long trips. I've done a few several hundred mile trips with mine and never grew tired of the sound. For reference my normal cruising highway speed is 75-80. I'm also in my forty's if that means anything to you. I'm respectful of my neighbors at night when I happen to be rolling in late so short shifting keeps the exhaust noise to an acceptable minimum.

The only time these get real loud is when you run hard and get the rpm's up higher then normal or under full throttle bursts.

I can say for the duals that the sound level isn't intrusive at all, even under WOT at high RPMs, noticible for sure, but not anoyingly so (though from behind i don't know) I have done several 100+ mile runs and never has the sound been a problem. Like 09GraySilverBusa, i short shift alot at night in my neighborhood just to keep it down.

Full rich sound, you won't be disappointed if you go with either the single or dual can setup.

Lots of 4-500 mile days,non-issue on the noise level.
Also by raising/ lowering the rpms a few hundred, you can always find a sweet spot where the sound cancels itself out better.
Same with short shifting when nec.

Guys, I'm just about to pull the trigger on a single CT system.

Has anyone done an oil change since fitting their system? Did you have any problems with the headers interfering when removing the oil filter?
