Q for the ladies:

sounds like once again the sexes differ dramatically: gals look for a stong, providing male and guys seek the shallow visual hottie - even in the work place. some call it 'instinct' I call call it more intelligent design.... how boring would it be if redheads always paired up with reds, brunette with brunette etc etc ... barf. Variety and Spice, Baby! Mix it up.

VA, you have GOT to be kidding me. I wanna slap some common sense into your under dressed woman coworker! Dresses to INCITE tongue drool, then calls them Pervs? No means yes, stop means more... THIS is where we get THAT from! She's a perfect example.

I was curious if women were affected in teh work place, and it sounds like the degree if very different. Great perspective. I was trying to keep in on a clothing level but that really didn't apply as much as confidence, humor, kindness etc. You can see how WE guys think now..... we DON'T!

If we blather all over the place and women notice and hide it, who is being more true to their feelings and inner being? ?

Just caught this post. And Va and Ice have it pretty much pegged.

Funny (funny ha-ha, not funny odd), nice, charming, thoughtful, with a bit of cocky thrown in always gets my attention. And I like a guy that can make me laugh.

When I was single, cocky guys were my favorite. I liked to get them, just to say I could. But they were usually the user type.

And with mens clothes now a days.. it's not like we get to see body parts. Teen girls wear next to nothing and teen boys wear jeans that bag to their knees and huge football jerseys. Grown men aren't much better. I wish the tight Levis would come back in style... at least then you could "check it out" .

This is one of the funniest threads I've read!

After a frustrating day at work, it was a treat to find this on my favorite forum.

Gals do like tough guys, but not guys that toss themselves at 'em, or even those that play the "I'm too good for you" card just to see her chase him...some gals may bite, but others just laugh it off behind your back...gals like tough guys that are also thoughtful...it is possible to be both...

Along the lines of the original topic -

...gal I work with dresses very, ummm, much like most men would like to see gals dress...makeup, hair, classy yet somewhat revealing blouses, low rise pants with the thong peeking out...you get the idea.  The guys LOVE her...they come over just to hang out by her desk...she laughs it up and conversates...they come back over and over again...I can see that they THINK she wants 'em around her...

Guess what she does when they leave?  Calls 'em pervs...on one hand, she may enjoy the attention she gets, hence she sort of instigates it, yet when they walk away, she's not wondering when the next visit will be or when they'll ask her out...she will hide from 'em if she sees 'em coming sometimes...she finds them very unappealing, as all of the other females here do.

Now, the guy that used to work here that was always fun and playful in a tasteful way, the one that offered to do things for the gals with no strings attached...HE is the one that we ALL migrated towards...man, I miss him...

+1

We have two new female workers here...man, you would not believe the testosterone levels!

I mean, I think they're cute and whatnot, but I refuse to follow them around like a lil puppy dog. "Yeah, you're cute, but so what?" is the mindframe I tend to adopt when I'm around them.

On the other side of the coin, though...if I am with a woman, I often tend to let them have their way (most of the time) and follow them around (if they want me there) like a puppy dog.

Bah...I can't ever seem to get this thing figured out.

I sometimes will feel like lookin a little sexy at the office , Ill unbutton the top few buttons on my shirt and let a little hamburger meat hang out. Then Ill get my tightest pair of pants and wear them low, with a short, tight shirt, that way some of my back and stomach hair shows as well. i grease my hair up real good and slick it back, then finish off the super-cute out fit with some strong musk.

ok i just lost my mojo buddy...thanks

no need for sexy closes. Go to the gym 4 times a week.
nice CLEAN tshirt , designer pants....

no sneakers, nice, new (looks like new) shoes.

Never look at her boobs, never make any comments, bring her starbacks.....

you will get her in no time... actually she will call you first.

Something like that with variations...

Not applicable to rednecks.

GREAT thread. I agree 100% with VA and Lady Ice. Men who are over the top with comments and hanging around just turn me off!!! But if the way they dress and their demeanor are clean and classy and respectful (and of course they must smell good) then they can hang around all they want.

I work in a sterile, dehumanized environtment where sexist remarks are dangerous to your career. but I know that stuff happens all over - which is why I have to sit thru silly videos about how Hank offering Susie a banana is so wrong.

Most compliments I get at work other than clothes, is cologne. That's always an easy winner. 50 dollars to instant swoonsville! hahahaha worth every penny

This thread was so I made sure I WASN'T dressing to provokatively that my fellow female corworkers can't concentrate. I'd hate to bring the company down with just my good looks. That's bad on the "Reason for leaving" part of a resume
[BT: back away from your picture collection right now!!!]

You know...like "Obsession" for men. Everyone has their own taste in smells. Everyone has their own preferences....It's something that just makes you want to wrap them up and take them home.:D

hmm...I think I'm on to something, although I have yet to hear a woman say that to me. I've received some compliments, but none like that!
wow.gif

Then again, I've never been big on the cologne scene. Perhaps a change of lifestyle is in order?

Yes Pac ... I think that is a good generalization. I think from what I hear that women like men who smell good. I know I do! It definately leaves me thinking about him all day.

Be carefull.. don`t use if freely....if you can smell it you stink, not smell....
smile.gif

Just reminded me of my neigbor..... geez.... I can smell him half a mile away...
Smell is very important, I agreed 100% with scootergirl ...
