I voted it was fair and I am satisfied. I'm never fully satisfied by anything. By that it means I wouldn't change anything. I think if I bought a veyron I would still be looking to change it.

Two choices are positive...people approve... = +70%

And one choice is negative...people disapprove... = < 30%

You really are :moon: backwards

Traffic in Chetopa, KS? ??? :poke:

Let me guess...a fire truck, a police car, a mail truck, and a busa all arrive at the town's four way stop at the same time...who has right of way?

(former S.E. Ks. resident)

Let's just say I wasn't close to home at the time. I traveled for a living, and rode the Busa on every trip I could. I had it in several traffic jams in it's life.

Oh, BTW, Chetopa doesn't have a 4 way stop in it, and I actually live in the country near Chetopa, so not many traffic jams around home.

Wow...lets try this again

30% love the update

30% do not like the update

40% said it was o.k. or fair or so so.
Think of them as the "undecided" catagory, hardly positive but
not completly negitive either.

The 40% is not giving it rave revues, that is hardly a victory.
But I think I see the problem, you accept medicraty as a :cheerleader:...
After the first update in 10 years 40% say it was..."alright"
but is waiting to see more and you think that's plus

I'm not counting the 40% as negative, though I think maybe
you should as it would have to be disappointing for Suzuki to have
such a large number give the update the ho hum. (add that to the
30% that thinks they cheaped it)

You have 30% that love it period, end of story.

I want to change my vote. I didn't understand that voting that it was a fair update meant that I wasn't happy with it.???

The Gen I is an awesome bike.
The Gen II is, ummm, awesomer.

Here's the real issue:
For 10+ years, the big bad Busa ruled. Period. Nothing out there could touch it. I knew it. You knew it. Everybody else knew it too. No, it was not the best canyon carver, but she was (and still is) a decently-good handling sport(y) bike with unbelievable power that nobody else could touch. The real thing. The hyperbike. The King.

Now you can buy quite a few other great bikes that are pretty darned competitive. There are some on the Busa model that are very sporty in the handling department with tons of power. And there are some genuine "sport" bikes with lots of power (when you wind them out a bit higher).

So now the Zuke isn't really "The King" because there are a lot of other "worthy" contenders to the throne. That's the difference. It's still a heck of a bike, an awesome bike, but it no longer stands alone. The Busa doesn't get as much "respect" in the motorcycling community because any geek on a ZX600 can say, "The ZX14 is faster," whether that is true or not. It doesn't matter, because it just doesn't stand alone anymore.

There's about 1% of us who really have skill to ride these things to their potential. The rest of us are really mostly "posers" and having the King is our way of saying that "we have arrived." I'm only 180 lbs. Do I need a 150 hp monster? No, but I can afford it and I like the ego stroke and I enjoy the bike thoroughly. Glad I bought it. Really really enjoy it. It's a heck of a bike. So enjoy it.

And tell the kid on the 600 to come back with his ZX14 and you can go riding together.

I don't understand...explain please.
I mean, I know my opinion is very biased but I thought I was being
fair with the poll though.

If the poll was fair...I would expect to see a even higher approval rate than 70%+

(heavy sigh)

Once again, the poll is NOT if you like your Gen II busa...the poll is if
you think Suzuki made enough of an effort regarding the update, period.

If you think the update is only fair AND/OR are waiting or hoping for more updates
in the next couple of years, it does not mean that you hate your Gen II...it
means that maybe you were hoping for a bit more from Suzuki or certainly
wouldn't be dissapointed if we got more...

I gave 3 options for the poll, I don't how it could be more fair...
You love the update
you think the update was lacking
and somewhere in between, kinda happy but wished for a bit more
(where most members are)

again though...if you think the update was o.k. but want more
was that a huge sucess...uh..no. Believe what you want though...

70%...you don't work for Obama do you....you work that same spin
on numbers...and if my poll wasn't screwed it'd be higher :rofl::rofl:

...wtf...you guys aren't getting the numbers you want so the poll is
biased ???

either way, you guys are giving me a headache, took excedren and I'm done.
Man...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I'm sure people buy your coddled liter bikes and wait around for the now industry standard 2 year update.

Update is more than plenty seeing how the gen 1 wasn't even out of its prime yet. People are still and I think will keep riding them even if zuke makes a gen3 with all new stuff I won't be getting rid of my bike for anyhting I can foresee.

For you oldtimers, a Gen I is a '40 Ford coupe and a Gen II is a '41. The first issue will always be the classic collectable regardless of updates...

The biggest mistake Suzuki could have made would have been changing the Busa too much. You don't take something as successful as the Hayabusa and start over. You certainly don't take something that is so loved by such a wide range of people, and narrow it's focus. They have many challenges with making the perfect bike for everybody, so they have built a platform from which you can build any bike that YOU want it to be.

To compare such an all around great bike to a liter bike is not fair. The liter is a focused track weapon (the crooked kind, not the straight kind), and it is a fabulous machine. I hear all kinds of stories about liter bikes being faster than the Busa, but I haven't lost a race to one yet. I wonder why there is such discrepancy between my experience and other peoples. Bottom line is this, people can argue back and forth about which one is quicker/faster, but the liter is a one trick pony. The Busa is extremely easy to live with every day, and does many things very well. Mine has been to the beaches on both coasts, and from Mexico to Canada, and never in a trailer. I have went on month long trips, and had nothing but the Busa to rely on, I always made it home, and always had a great time. :beerchug:

I voted for "The udate was Fair and I look forward to seeing what Suzuki has in store in the next couple of years" only because "The update is awsome and I look forward to seeing what Suzuki has in store in the next couple of years" was not an option. I love what Suzuki did with the Gen II, but I always want more...... it's just me being human.
