Rear Brake Line "Burn Marks"

Will try and get a better pic tomarrow,,,It's heat like if you held a flame a few inches from it for a min,,eather comming from tire or pipe....Me thinks

I would be all but certain it is chemical discoloration of some kind. UV, solvent, road tar or something...

A tire is not going to push enough heat to burn vinyl...

I do not think what you are seeing is carbon (although it looks like it) I would call the brake line maker, explain what you are seeing and see what they say...

Found out what the prob was,,,exhaust clamp bolt backed out afew turns,,was leaking at the pipe.could feel it with my hand with the bike running,,cranked her down,,,fixed.

the leak is in direct line with the brake line? looks low and hidden behind the swingarm

Yeah,,,hard to tell in my poor pic,,,but it's even with the line,,and with bike at an idle i could feel it on the line,,,at 7000 or 8000 rpm's must have been crazy hot...should have known,,bikes been back firing for the past week or so,,and i dont have a pair valve...lol.
