was just thinking maybe we can start a trend out of remembrance, and to raise awareness to cagers of all riders on the road. so i was thinking of a white armband or white bandana tied around the arm.

just a thought...

Hm...interesting.

Are you thinking a single one, no matter how many friends have preceded you (?) or one for each (?) or a way to alter one to indicate the number of those past ?

Obviously a gesture from your heart, bro. :beerchug:

I'm in for this. Great idea Rev:thumbsup:

I'd like to have it stitched onto my jacket or something. Some way to have it visible while riding.

Maybe like the old wwjd bracelets but to make it official we could rock the busa symmbol and something symbolzing fallen ridders. just a thought, I just dont think a bandana is something I could rock on my arm...

I think this is a good idea.
May I suggest a personal rough draft?

I like it as well. Maybe a suggestion though? Have them with and without the .org part(side2). The ones with to be worn by the members here. The ones without to be given away to others riders that are not members here. Would be very interesting to see how far this could go.

Very good idea Rev!!:bowdown::thumbsup:

I 2nd that, I would love this as a final draft idea.

just a thought but I think a percent of sales could somehow benifit the families of fallen riders...

I have two armbands for other memorial rides. One was blue, for an local rider in the Air Force that got killed riding in Savanna, GA shortly after transferring east. One was black, and he was a local track racer and a member of the Shoulder Draggers in WA. I used to keep them hanging over my fireplace mantel. I now keep them in the garage where I can see them every time I would go out for a ride. It keeps me thinking about staying very alert. They also keep me company when I ride solo.

It's a great idea.

As a member of a motorcycle club, one of the reasons we wear vests is due to the memorials we attache to them. Besides showing my "colors" i proudly display names and momentoes of my fallen brothers and family.

I think the armband or some kind of ribbon is a good idea for this Org family to keep a reminder of our fallen friends. But if you want to contribute to the awareness of motorcycle safety, join and be active in any grass roots or national Motorcycle awareness organization.

i think the most important thing is color identification, and placement. white is symbolic of light and heaven. most riders wear black jackets, white would stand out the most. i'd think it should be worn on the bicep area of one arm. the amount of time worn would be personal to the individual i guess.

wearing it would make other riders curious to ask and the word would spread. then once it spreads among riders it would trickle into the mainstream and non-riders would know when they see a motorcyclist wearing one.

the fallen riders band with the writing is kool, but for now the next time i ride i'm wearing my white bandana on my arm for Ray.
