They indeed have a heinously expensive retail price..... about $730, last time I checked.
The *sole* reason I scored them for several hundred off was due to my relationship with some PIAA and Hella vendors. Otherwise, I would not have them.
But I am really glad I got 'em; IMO they really do look pretty good in the Busa, all tucked away between the mirror stalk and adjacent cowling.
And the performance is phenomenal. Even if they only help me avoid a *single* deer-strike over the lifetime of the bike, they will have paid for themselves.
Getting ready to pack up and hit it, gents..... tonight is simply a straight shot from eastern Washington down through central Oregon (HWY 97 all the way) and play around the northern California backroads for a while before heading to Anderson to meet up with Rick Mayer (of Rick Mayer Cycle fame). He is building a Endurance-oriented seat for the K8; I am picking it up tomorrow around mid-day. Then it's on into Reno to crash at my buddy's house tomorrow night. I'll try to check in from the road as I go.....
